“ hotel is nice but far from everything but good side is its right by the metro and the people have a problem with being friendly. Apart from that the hotel is very nice and clean and modern but beware they will not be very friendly if you do not know how to speak french.

5 minutes walk from Metro and bus stop that allows you to go direct to the Louvre.

During the week after Easter, the hotel appeared to be a very popular base for foreign college/school students visiting Paris. The large reception area was used as an assembly area on arrival (with accompanying baggage) and after breakfast prior to boarding coaches. This meant that the lifts to any of the 15 floors were under considerable pressure at particular times of the day, often crowded, overloaded and slow. We used the fire escape stairs to descend from the 11th floor on two days to reach the breakfast room.
Accommodation very comfortable, free bottled water provided in the mini fridge on arrival. Clean and spacious, daily servicing efficient. Excellent breakfast choice.
“ Top Tip: Very close to the Metro and bus station - 5 minutes walk. Not many quality restaurants or cafes in the immediate vicinity. Take the metro to Gambetta (2 stops) for a full range of reasonable restaurants.

The Holiday Inn Paris La Villette is a hotel of modern design located opposite the museums of music, science and industry and La Grande Halle (theatre and convention hall) and within direct reach of the main historical monuments, cultural and shopping areas of Paris by metro. The hotel has 182 air conditioned bedrooms with many facilities including a TV with in-house movies, minibar, safe, hairdryer and telephone. The hotel also offers a restaurant and a mini gym.
“ The hotel was clean and well presented. The staff are all polite, helpful and speak English very well. Although there was 1 woman on reception who we found to be very rude. The hotel restaurant is closed and as been for some time breakfast is served on the 10th floor and the wait for the lift in a morning is ridiculous.

“ Great hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Good location, 30 minute walk from Eiffel Tower. All staff spoke English. Baggage storage available which was really helpful on the last day as we left our cases at the hotel and spent the day sightseeing, returning to pick them up at 4pm for a 6pm Eurstar departure.

“ The room was ok, clean, the sheets and towels were changed daily the staff were friendly and most could speak english the only bad thing was the breakfast not alot of it was fresh coissants out of a box tin fruit not much choice if you are vegetarian
