The Couvent des Minimes is set in a 17th century Flemish style listed building, formerly a convent. Renovated, then re-opened as a hotel in 1990, it has retained many historical features such as cloisters with vaulted ceilings and original red-brick walls. The restaurant offers a magical place to dine under a magnificent glass roof, and has seasonal cuisine based on fresh produce. Near this very special place is the piano bar, which invites you to try a selection of champagnes, whiskies and cocktails. All bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and beautifully furnished.
“ Beautiful atrium although slightly on the chilly side as it has a very high ceiling. We were too late for a table for dinner so we had a 'bar snack' in the large seating area. This was easily meal sized and more than enough and it was nicely informal.

Hotel with 64 rooms, including 3 with disabled facilities. The rooms can accommodate 1, 2 or 3 people. The have a double bed with a single bunk bed above. They are also equipped with TV (with Canal+ and 3 Canal Sat channels) and private bathrooms with sink, toilet and shower. There are vending machines and a microwave oven available for the customers. The hotel also provides secure high speed Internet. An all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet is served from 6:30 to 10 AM on weekdays and 7:30 to 10:30 AM on weekends. Capacity 32 seats. Reception From 6 AM to noon and 5 to 9 PM, as well as Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (night clerk). If you arrive late, you can book a room at the self-serve kiosk using your credit card. Restaurants The hotel does not have a restaurant. However, there is a roadside restaurant 600 metres from the hotel. For more dining choices, the centre of Saint Omer is just 5 km from the hotel.
“ Mister Bed is now called Good Night-a fact that made it very difficult to track down. when i did find it however i found the reception staffed at about 23.00 hrs.,which was not what was stated on the hotel description,but fortunate because,unlike the majority of French budget hotels,there was no automatic check-in machine outside,so i would have been locked out.

Hotel with 43 rooms equipped with flat screen TVs, bathrooms and free wifi. The rooms were partially renovated in 2008. Breakfast is served from 7 to 9 AM on weekdays and 8 to 10 AM on weekends. We can accommodate special requests for groups that need to leave earlier. Reception Open 7 AM to 11 PM. If you plan to arrive later than this, please call the hotel before the reception closes. Restaurants Restaurant open Monday to Friday for dinner only, from 7 to 9:30 PM, closed on Sundays. Capacity 26 people. We can accommodate groups by setting up the meeting room as a restaurant. Nearby Eurotunnel access 5 minutes away, 3 km from Calais city centre, 4 km from the train station, shopping nearby, the Opal Coast and beaches, the Lace Museum, nearby historical vestiges.
“ The room was very small and for more than a one night stay, unsuitable. TV had no english speaking channels whatsoever, not even BBC World and/or CNN which every other hotel we have stayed in has as a minimum.

A modern hotel in western Calais, ideally located just 1 kilometre from the Euro Tunnel, close to the ferry port and within easy reach of both Calais town centre with its many attractions and the motorway. The non-smoking Cottage Hotel provides comfortable accommodation. All the bedrooms are simply decorated in light colours with patterned fabrics and equipped with television (both French and British channels), telephone and tea & coffee making facilities. Facilities at the Cottage Hotel include a bar, restaurant and ample complimentary parking.
