  • We had an excellent break at this hotel. The staff were courteous and helpful. We had asked for a quiet room and got it! The room was fine and the bathroom large and well-equiped. It was a little difficult reading in the room as there wasn't a central bright light. The buffet breakfast was superb. Certainly a place to re-visit some day.

  • Having stayed here over Easter I was absolutely impressed with the hotel, it is a very unique design. The food was excellent and couldn't be faulted. Some of the waiting staff were not as friendly as others but not an overall problem. The location is very good nice and quiet and 20 mins walk from the old town and station. Would definitely stay again and excellent value.

Top Tip: 'La Royale' restaurant. Turn right outside hotel then right again onto Rue de la Barre. Walk about five minutes to Rue de la Royale on the left and it's along there on the left. Closed Sundays.
Great ambience and super food. We booked a table for the second night before we left that first evening. The two young men running the place were charming and helpful.

Unusual hotel in that it was previously a convent which has now been converted. The room was fine and the reception desk courteous and helpful.
We would definitely go back if we re-visit Lille.
