Staying at the Kairaba was an absolute pleasure. We spent 1 week in a standard room which was basic but definitely than enough for us. We found the service exceptional and all staff were friendly and willing to help in every instance. We became especially friendly with a couple of people and ended up spending time with them outside of the hotel - definitely worth it to get a wider view of the Gambia!
The breakfast was good - hot and cold and eggs in every style you can think of.
Food was also good in the hotel and 3 restaurants to choose from.
Prices are higher than outside but still not expensive.
The location of the hotel was great, with many restaurants on the strip.
We would reccomend the hotel to friends and would consider returning

Top Tip:
A walk to the monkey park is a must and also paradise beach if you get the chance.
Talk to the staff at the Kairaba, all have interesting stories to tell and can tell you about real life in the Gambia.

“ We had a great time. The people were so friendly and the facilities were good. This is however not a five star hotel as we know it! But I knew that before we went.
“ Top Tip: Great Lebanese restaurant just outside the hotel complex. Smart and delicious food.

“ This hotel is suitable for the Elderley and mature couples who want winter sun and a variety of restaurants on their doorstep. However this does not come cheaply and apart from happy hour drinks are on the expensive side and meals are more expensive that are available at the various quality restaurants outside. As I said its for the mature couple who want sun and sand and without need to venture far
