  • “ This is an excellent hotel. Reception staff, restaurant staff, and cleaners very pleasant and friendly. The breakfast - plenty of choice, fresh, and neatly presented . The rooms were spotless when we arrived back in the evening, beds made with chocolate left on the pillows, and all worktops were neatly arrange.

“ We have just had a wonderful weekend in Dusseldorf staying at the Hotel Excelsior. Easy to get to from the airport using the local public transport. It is within a minutes walk to the U-bahnn (Nord Strasse U78) and a realistic 10 minute walk through the Hofgarden Park to the Alt Stadt. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent catering for every taste. The room was lovely with a huge double bed and a big shower room. The only down side was no tea making facilities in the room there was a kettle but no cups only two tumblers.
We will definately use the hotel again when we next vist Duss.

“ Top Tip: The walk into the city centre through the park was very nice and only a realistic 10 minuets. Visit in November / December for the Christmas markets and you must try the Alt beer in the bars of the Alt Stadt.

As we stayed here in November the hotel was quite warm. Umbrellas were available at reception for customers use. I would gladly stay in this hotel again.

“ Top Tip: The 78 or 79 underground runs from Dusseldorf Central Station to outside this hotel and one stop away from the "old town". There are two bar within five minutes walk - both also serves food.

“ stayed in Excelsior for Christmas markets.Had a really lovely stay here.The staff were very helpful and pleasant.The hotel has Uban a few metres away.The city centre is only 10 minute walk.Very good location.Hope to stay here again next year.Highly recommended.

“ Top Tip: nice park nearby.german pub nearby that has good food called himmel und something that i forget.hotel will know it.
