“ Perfect location for getting about in Athens - it is right round the corner from the Metro station and on the same line as the Acropolis and National Gardens. The highlight of the hotel is the roof garden; absolutely stunning views on all sides and a totally unobstructed view of the Acropolis.8.0 Great

“ Excellent hotel for the price, we had heard bad things about the area being run down, but it's not that bad, although we weren't out at night. It is one metro stop along from the supposed worst place, Omonia Square, and it is right next to the metro station Metaxoughio.8.0 Great

Perfect location for getting about in Athens - it is right round the corner from the Metro station and on the same line as the Acropolis and National Gardens.
The highlight of the hotel is the roof garden; absolutely stunning views on all sides and a totally unobstructed view of the Acropolis. Also really tasty food that is priced cheaply compared to other places around Athens.
The only reasons we didn't rate this 10 out of 10 were that there was a leak in the bathroom when we arrived (which was fixed the next day) and a couple of ants in the room. Breakfast is pretty basic as well.
Not sure about how safe the area is though so our taxi driver said not to go out alone or at night but having said that we didn't come across any trouble.

This is a basic hotel but really does the job. It is not in the best looking of areas but the location to the metro, restuarants, supermarket and attractions is perfect. The area is a bit noisy but to be honest this was ideal for me and my partner to easily get around the city.
There is a roof top restuarant that has a really good view of the Acropolis so go up and check it out as it is worth a photo or two. The food and drinks up there are reasonable as well.
Staff were very helpful and our room was very clean.

“ Excellent hotel for the price, we had heard bad things about the area being run down, but it's not that bad, although we weren't out at night. It is one metro stop along from the supposed worst place, Omonia Square, and it is right next to the metro station Metaxoughio. Breakfast is decent all you can eat with basic foods, much better than we had been used to, but may not be as nice as others may be used to! Receptionist was quite nice and there was one computer for free internet. Don't think I'll ever go back to Athens but would stay at the hotel again.
“ Top Tip: If you arrive at the Athens bus station get the bus to Omonia Square (033 I think) and the bus stops right outside the hotel across the road on the left, keep your eyes peeled and you will see it, will save you a taxi. In any case it's only about 10 minutes walk from Omonia Square. Contrary to what you read, if you are sensible Athens is pretty safe and I'm sure you will be fine if you don't do anything stupid.

“ I found it quite close to everything, things look a little dodgy in the area at night but I didn't see any trouble and I think that is just the feel of Athens.
