“ Used this central village hotel for many years. It was a special occasion this visit so requested a front village room, and recieved my request. The staff are very friendly and the hotel very clean, you dont pay 5star prices so i don't expect a 5 star hotel, but its location to the village and marina where you can freely walk 2 minutes away. Free wi-Fi , 2 swimming pools, lounge area and a short walk if you dont hire a car, to the busses . Typical buffet breakfasts , though this time i ate in, i would normalyy sample the local greek restraunts, cant fault the hotel
“ Top Tip: Close by are different restraunts, bars lots to choose from. 10 minutes walk is Kontokali where even more to sample,

We are a family of 4, our children 14 and 10 years old. In persuit of a early bargain trip, we paid very little for this hotel B&B, so weren't expecting much.
All in all, can't complain for the price paid - £53 each for 7 nights.
The time of year we visited (Early April) probably wasn't the best time to showcase this hotel at it's best. The hotel is kept clean, and the staff are pleasant. Due to early season, we found the room to be very damp and cold. Central heating would have been welcomed due to the weather being quite cool and wet. Towels were changed once during our weeks stay, we could not dry them causing damp towels draped around the already cold and damp room (this obviously would be totally different if you go in hotter months). Decor is outdated, some drawers in the wardrobes would not open due to the many layers of paint. There was a safe (no extra charge), a telephone, a small fridge sat on the floor and a TV. No hairdryer. The bathroom was rather compact, shower curtain (looked new, which was a bonus as it did wrap itself around you). The floor got soaking wet, as only a small lip around the shower base. Bathroom door was splashed with bleach marks and looked manky but the hotel does need updating.
We were cautious about spending our money on Half Board, and quite rightly so. It is cheaper if booked before travel, but you can pay when you get there, we tried it once. They charged us 10 Euro each just for the evening meal. There is no choice (not a big deal) but the quality of the food was quite poor for the money (side salad that had gone brown). The service in the restaurant was quite comical!
Nice pool, was open despite early season. There is table tennis and table football -which had seen better days. One computer for guests to use FOC, however there is free WiFi access and I successfully downloaded my emails via my Windows phone. The bar area is basic - Caraf of wine was 3.80 Euros - bargain!
“ Top Tip: Gouvia was closed when we were there, Chinese opposite delicious but expensive. Our best find was a small family run restaurant with no apparant name! Head right out of the hotel and keep walking down the same road with the Marina on your left hand side (approx 10 mins), past George's Grill (also worth a try). This gem of a place is on your right hand side, small menu is shown outside, but when you get in, the lady will tell you there is no menu, she will tell or show you what she has got! Delicious home made authentic Greek cusine - at fantastic prices (25 Euro for 4 meals and drinks!) Enjoy!
