Orestis Aparthotel

“ First the positives: The rooms are very clean and comfortable, bar staff very helpful and friendly (Quick to offer their assistance with any issues), nice location close to a beach and the nearby grocery market as well as main Sidari strip, adequate pool.

The negatives which were substantial enough to warrant a complaint are noisey maintenance work going on in the rooms next door to our room which i believe disturbed everybody we encountered at the Orestis! When i politely complained that they were disturbing our sleep first thing in the morning to the staff they apologised, stated that they had finished the work and then seemed to completely ignore us and continued with the banging, drilling, moving of furniture etc. This continued throughout our weeks stay! There was no language problem barrier or misunderstanding! We were persistantly ignored when we politely raised this issue. Fresh towels had to be asked for and we only received one set all week, cleaning was only carried out by the cleaners once. Also we were aware that the season was coming to an end, but we did not expect on the final day to find that we could not purchase a breakfast in the morning, we were told only toast was available! NOT very good service at any time of a holiday. The bar was out of use during the afternoon and everything in general at the hotel/apartments were closed, we still had a whole day to spend until our late transfer time in the evening and although we wondered into Sidari for a meal, drink etc we sensed that as far as the hotel was concerned everyone had packed up and gone home! It was a great holiday overall but i must admit feeling let down by the Orestis in particular! During the main season i,m sure they operate fantastically but i advise NOT to book this place for the last stretch of the season!

“ Top Tip: Great places to recommend: Sam Remo diner, Memories bar and diner, 3 Pigs restaurant (Fantastic friendly service and staff) Calypso bar and diner all along Sidari strip! Go travel to Palliokastritsa (Beautiful!) and Kassiopi all within an hours drive from Sidari. Beautiful island and nice,friendly people!

“ Booked a late deal , and we were over the moon with the Orestis . Right on the shingly beach , with beautiful views of the sea and resort . Apartments very clean and well maintained , and we were there for the last week of the season.Pool area very clean , minimal staff with being apartments , but helpful. Would recommend to anyone as only 5-10 mins from resort centre depending on walking ability , flat all the way.

“ Top Tip: Sidari was shutting down for winter when we were there , but still about 50% of bars and restaurants were open. Mediterraneo Restaurant was excellent with a full choice of menu in the last week of the season and very reasonably priced for the high quality of food. Maddisons bar has plenty of entertainment with a very knowledgable DJ and quizmaster.
