Summertime Hotel

“ I went with my wife and 3 children 9, 11,13, and after reading some awful reviews I thought it would be a disaster. Firstly the accommodation is advertised as 4 star with 4 star prices, however I would rate it s a 3 star and could probably have had better accommodation for the price in a real 4 star. That being said the accommodation was large enough and clean enough. We were there for 7 days sheets were changed 3 times and the rooms cleaned daily. The furnishings are a little worn, particularly the shower, and a feel of the third world exists when you realise that you have to put toilet paper in a bin rather than flush down the toilet.
We went half board, the breakfast was adequate, but not brilliant and the evening meal was a fixed menu with no choice, however, it probably saved alot of arguements with the kids and tasted pretty good. The staff were helpful although none of them appeared to be too happy in there jobs. The location is great. In summary it was OK but I always felt short changed. Average is a good word. If I had been paying 3 star prices then that is what I would have got. One of the upsides is that hardly any English people stay there.
If you wanted to watch TV in your room that would cost you as well.

“ Top Tip: No local cash machines, you have to walk into Sidari. Canal D'amor is overpriced, shop and drink in sidari. Avoid watered down beer.
If you turn left out of Summertime about 100yds on the right follow for the best beach in the area.

Nivea suncream will cost you 20 euros plus locally, so make sure you take your own. You will need it!I was irritated at having to pay an extra 5 euros per night for air conditioning, 10 Euro's for safe key.
