“ This hotel certainly has the wow factor, was very good value for money and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The only drawback from my point of view was its remote location, although there were always taxis available. There was a definite shortage of sunbeds, however.

“ we went bed and breakfast which is ideal as there are various eating places nearby. the hotel charges are far to high for drinks and snacks they outprize theirselves as the same can be had by walking a few hundred yards at a fraction of their prices.

This comfortable, fully renovated hotel has 311 rooms, distributed around 2 main buildings, as well as terraced bungalows. There is also a lobby with reception, a lounge, lifts, a lobby bar, a TV room, a boutique, a jewellery shop, a small shop, an air-conditioned restaurant, an e la carte restaurant, a beach bar, a tropical beach bar, an oriental lounge bar, a theatre stage bar, a conference centre, business centre facilities and a fully equipped medical centre. There is also a playground and a kids' club for younger guests.
“ This is an excellent hotel, we had originally booked 1 week but enjoyed it so much we booked an extra week (cheapest deal through travel republic!) It is a beautifully designed complex, we stayed in the village side across the road rather than the hotel and we found it to be very quiet.

This is a small and friendly family run complex situated in a quiet street just 5 minutes from the town centre and a 3-minute walk to a sandy beach.
“ Extremely friendly and helpful receptionist - Christina was great and most informative on local ameneties etc. Rooms were very clean, towels and bedding changed every couple of days.

“ What can I say to do this hotel justice, Hotel was faultless so where the staff nothing was too much trouble, entertainment very proffessional, brilliant choice of food. every where was spotless. The only downside is the hotel is looking a bit tired, but having said that I beleive a refurbushment is due to start this winter.

The second building contains bedrooms that have both sea and pool view. The location is magical, full of secrets, where mythology and reality are so well bound to each other through the centuries that they can never be separated. The Airport is 65 km away and the city centre is only 500 meters away. There you can see the unique beauty of the bottomless lake, the museum, the harbour and the coastal line, or you can simply enjoy the cosmopolitan night of Agios Nikolaos and have in general unforgettable vacation!

The Kalithea Apartments is located on a hillside with panoramic views of the Bay of Elounda close to a fully organized shingle beach on the North-East part of the island paradise of Crete. Kalithea means 'beautiful view' and boy is it ever! Situated 4 km from the charming village of Elounda and 6 km from the city of Agios Nikolaos, this fully renovated 3 Star hotel offers 30 contemporary studios and apartments with modern amenities. There is regular bus service stopping in front of the apartments and beautiful beaches are just 5 minutes (2.5 km) by bus. Due to the hillside location of this property it is not suitable for guests with wheelchairs or those with walking difficulties. Heraklion International Airport is a 63 km from the Kalithea Apartments. Local Tips: Places of interest include the Palace of Knossos, Elounda and the island of Spinalonga, Lasithi Plateau, Chrissi Island and Vai, famous for its palm forest located right on the beach
“ It was a pleasure to return there after some 5 years. Being built on a hillside, it does have disadvantages, but, learning to 'slow down' is part of the secret of overcoming this !! I would NOT want to stay here WITHOUT a car !!

Moreover, our structure boasts spacious luxuriant gardens, where you can enjoy splendid views of the sea. The Mikro Village lacks nothing. This lovely structure is provided with a large outdoor swimming pool, the ideal place where you can spend relaxing moments and sip optimal drinks in the adjacent swim-up pool bar. Moreover, for those who want to keep fit also during their holiday, the hotel places at their disposal a gym, as well as a tennis court, perfect for the tennis lovers. Finally, for those who travel with their children, the Mikro Village is furnished with a play room, equipped with electronic games and billiard, as well as an outdoor play area.
“ The hotel needs a bit of general maintainence however the most important aspects of the hotel - swimming pool, reception, snack bar are well maintained. The rooms were a little dated. Staff on the whole were extremely friendly although i would not recommend the Wednesday BBQ as the Chef appeared to give all the food to the tables that he had friends on.
