“ hotel was very modern looking, well situated,and very smart.rooms are basic but very clean and tidy.pool is of a good size.pool bar was great mainly down to Gregory he made every effort to make you feel welcome. all the staff are very friendly.

“ Top Tip: get a car if possible as there is a lot to see in the local area.

“ Had no real issues as there were only about 8 people staying at the time.
The beach and main restaurants etc were about 10 minute walk away, others along a flat road were about 20 minutes.
If you are happy to eat locally every night then that is fine but you need a car to get further afield and sight see.
Elderly people would find it a struggle if they wanted to go to the harbour area as this is up a steep windy road and can be slippery on the shiney tiled pavements.

“ Top Tip: All restaurants have friendly staff and is good value for money.
If you take the boat trip to Rethymno from Bali harbour then be prepared to walk some distance from where it docks to the main town centre - take plenty of water too.
Hire a car but be sure you get the right insurance cover and check over the car to make sure it has five wheels with inflated tyres.

“ The Elpis apartments are very basic with just the essential kitchen equipment (and no kettle) and simple wooden furniture but are very clean with maid service every day and linen change every other day. Each apartment has its own balcony and air conditioning. The swimming pool, with small kiddies area, was very clean and there was a great pool bar with sunbeds and shower/loo facilities. The setting is lovely with hills all around and only a 5 minute stroll down to the beach of a small sandy cove. The village of Bali is still fairly small but with plenty of tavernas, shops and bars and the small village harbour only a 15 minute stroll away. A great place for families (we were a family of 4 with 2 teenagers) and couples wanting a quieter place to holiday.

“ Top Tip: Two great restaurants to recommend were the Panorama and the Nest, both down at the harbour.

“ Small family run complex. Basic but very clean. Staff/owners very friendly and helpful. Only downside was lack of kitchen equipment,(no microwave ; cooker;and toaster). However would still go back again and would recommend to others.
