Nostos Beach

“ Firstly, we were moved to Sofia Mythos around 10 days before departure as the Nostos Beach was closing early. So this review is for the Sofia Apartments.

The rooms we were given were large and had great views over the harbour. Typically Greek, they were basic but clean and they were cleaned daily. We were also upgraded to half board and so enjoyed a continental breakfast and lovely home cooked evening buffet. The food was comparable to any taverna fayre.
Location wise it was ideal, right in the heart of the village with bars, restaurants, supermarkets and beaches within a 2 minute walk.
The staff were friendly and overall we had a fantastic time.

“ Top Tip: Walk over the headland past the Panorama restaurant and you'll come to Evita Bay which is very sheltered and has tavernas at the back of the beach to cater for lunch and drinks. The sun beds and umbrellas were reasonably priced at €2 each. So if you feel like a change from the 3 beaches in Bali then this place is great.

“ This is the fifth time we've stayed at the Nostos and intend to keep returning. Bali is a very quiet location with little nightlife but lovely restaurants and more than adequate shopping facilities. The Nostos itself is perfection and we are always welcomed by Yanni & Eleni like family. The accomodation is all you could need and is kept really clean, has a lovely pool and is right on the glorious beach. I couldn't ask for anywhere better to relax and enjoy beautiful Crete.

“ The hotel was friendly with excellent service. My husband has walking difficulties so the location to the beach was excellent. There were tavernas along the front with in 200m. Downside was if we wanted to go to other tavernas it was very hilly and unsuitable for anyone with walking difficulties. If you are happy to stay in one place then it was great. Not a great deal to do for teenagers but fine for young families and older people who only need a beach to relax on. We would certainly go again.

“ Top Tip: The hotel was great for lunch time food but the Golden Sun Taverna served us with excellent food and only a short flat walk away.

“ Excellent stay at Nostos Beach. Fabulous apartments, perfect location just across from the beach, spotlessly clean rooms and pool area, and great cocktail/snack bar with wonderful staff! Highly recommend this accommodation! Will definitely return.

“ Top Tip: Excellent choice of restaurants around Bali - including The Nest near the harbour and Mythos Restaurant which serves the most amazing Kleftiko!
