The family run Villa Marie Kelly Apartments are 150 metres from the beach, modern in design and furnishing, and close to the bars and restaurants. Gouves is a smaller and quieter resort and ideal for holidays in Crete, with a pretty old town and a sandy beach. The seafront area has a selection of cafes, bars and restaurants and the town, small boutiques and souvenir shops. The nightlife in the resort is low key and relaxed. The complex is made up of 30 apartments. The beach offers a watersport centre with all the usual activities. In the immediate area are a selection of bars and restaurants but for a livelier night, the centre of Gouves is a 20 minute walk. style="font-size:xx-small">© Donvand Limited 2012
“ This hotel was excellent for our requirements for a week to relax in the sun. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The facility was a small complex which we found ideal and all the guests that were staying at the same time as us were mostly from the UK and all were very friendly.

This beach hotel has a 24-hour reception desk, an indoor bar, a lounge with satellite TV, fireplace, mini-market, as well as a conference room capable of accommodating up to 50 persons. There is a large lawn area, as well as both a kids' club and a children's playground offering safe haven at playtime for younger guests. The hotel has 170 rooms in total. All rooms in the main building were renovated over winter 2006/2007. It is air-conditioned and has a lobby, a safe, cloakroom, currency exchange facility and lift access. Dining facilities also feature. Internet access is offered (subject to fees).
“ A clean and efficient hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The twin rooms are a little basic for 4* but quite comfortable. It was nice to have a working fridge, balcony and air conditioning! The pool area is generally in quite good condition although a few of the sun loungers had broken struts - and they have to be claimed well before 9am.

This air-conditioned establishment has a total of 50 rooms, a bar and bicycle rental (for an additional fee). Younger guests may like to let off steam in the playground and there is also a kindergarten. The main building houses a comfortable foyer with a reception desk manned around the clock, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a satellite TV corner, a fireplace and a restaurant for breakfast and evening meals. Parking is also available.
“ This is an excellent hotel, very clean, the food is first class - homemade desserts, with lots of choice because it's buffet style. There is also an excellent pool bar with fantastic friendly staff - hence we have just had our fourth visit to this hotel.

“ Back from our 4th visit to Gouves Park. Food still o.k. but don't expect much in the way of meat, the meat dishes tended to be cooked on the bone with very little meat on them covered in a sauce. A nice touch though is the fresh pizza bar with salads available from 12.

The John Mary Apartments complex enjoys superb panoramic views out to sea and is just 30 metres from the nearest sandy beach in the popular Greek tourist resort of Gouves. These apartments have a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, pleasant well-maintained gardens and good quality rooms to ensure you have a great holiday in Crete. The apartments can accommodate up to four people and have one bedroom, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Rooms are also equipped with a fridge, air conditioning and a hairdryer.
