Aquis Zorbas Village, Crete If you’re looking for a top-notch beachfront hotel away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life then look no further than the Aquis Zorbas Village in Crete. This is a real gem of a hotel which boasts one of the nicest beaches in Crete, beautiful and fantastic facilities for famlies and couples. Location The Aquis Zorbas Village is situated in the ‘Anissaras’ 4km from the popular town of Hersonissos, and about 22 km from the airport so transfer times are short. Its quiet location means you can unwind and relax, but don’t panic you’re by no means cut-off from the world! If you want to get out and explore you can easily get into the port town of Hersonissos (cue portside lunches, drinks, boat trips and general people watching) or arrange to hire a car and head out further afield. Accommodation Accommodation is in one of the 219 traditional style bungalows and two suites are available if you want to really treat yourself. Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, private bathroom, hair dryer, fridge or mini fridge, safety deposit box (on charge), TV, telephone and either a terrace or balcony. Oh and the complex is low rise so this is ideal for anyone with walking difficulties/kids in tow. Food & drink Trust us you won’t go hungry! As an all-inclusive property, meals are plentiful and on the occasions when the main restaurant isn’t serving food, you can grab a bite at the snack bar or cool off with an ice-cream. The main restaurant also has a fancy ‘show’ cooking corner where you can pick up a few tips from the experts! Activities/Entertainment You can’t say there is nothing to do here! Facilities include outdoor and indoor swimming pools, gym, card tables, tennis court, archery, table tennis, pool tables (on charge), mini football court, and an entertainment programme runs throughout the day and night. Kiddies have their own pool, playground and dedicated kids club (4 – 12 years). Laptops and PCs are available for rental (but remember you are on holiday!) Some facilities may be seasonal and others may incur a local charge.
