Sunset Beach Apartments

“ The apartments were basic but adequate.nice location with sea view.only cleaned once during a weeks stay.could do with a bit more.

“ Top Tip: The whisky bar on the sea front.difficult to spot but ask around and you will find it.well worth the trouble.Lovely spot and run by lovely people.

“ The appts are clean n sufficient (the shower curtain could do with a good wash tho)The owners make u feel very welcome.The bar n foood are is lovely with friendly helpful staff.The pool is cleaned daily and the sea is literallly on yourr dooorstep.The town area is a min away n has the usual greek restaurants,bars,shops n supermarkets.It was very relaxing n quiet.Perfect.

“ Top Tip: The Whiskey Bar (10mins walk) is fabulous,right on the seafront serving a variety of drinks n tasty snacks.The Ideal restaurant sold fab food n had satellite TV 4 all the sports fans (5min walk)

“ These apartments are ideal if you want a relaxing holiday. The staff are really friendly and John at the pool bar makes you feel really welcome. Only a few steps from the pool and you are on the each. I would definatley return to these apartments.

“ Top Tip: Paparazzi Restarant opposite Haziz supermarket is really good value for money, and if you want entertainment just sit and watch the coaches manovering around the traffic as this is the main route down from Anopoli Water Park.

There is an excellent bus service from Kokini Hani to both Malia and Heraklion which is well worth a visit.

“ I think this accommodation is understated and under sold. Its proximity to the beach, quiet and friendly atmosphere and one of the best views of the sun setting over the Adriatic, which is 'stunning', put the apartments into the 'great find' category for us as a family! We’ve been back twice!
For a family with younger children wishing to relax it is ideal with the small pool easily observed from the sun beds.
There is a very small beach immediately below the apartments, just a few steps away. (Dependant on the recent weather it can be very sandy or stony immediately at the bottom of the steps, but a few feet into the water and the soft gently sloping sea bed makes swimming or snorkelling in the warm water a real pleasure, however, there has always been enough sand for sandcastles within a few yards!). If you want a wide expanse of beach this is probably not for you, but the advantage of this location is the lack of other beach goers who whilst being visible in both directions ‘rarely use the stretch of small beach/shore beneath the apartments, making it almost like having a private stretch of beach/sea!

if the sea is flat enough then there are water sports available about 15 – 20 minutes walk along the beach.

“ Top Tip: The Ice cream parlour (about a 15 minute walk east of the apartments is a must. The water park is 3 miles up in the hills and great fun. (We took a taxi up to the park and then walked back in 45 minutes......although not recommended for the less robust!
I recommend eating at the pool bar. Amanda is a great cook and the service is great...not to mention the view of the sun setting as you listen to the waves gently lapping against the nearby beach.
