“ Very relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Hotel manager and staff could not have been more helpful. Clean rooms, pleasant location. Excellent value for money.
“ Top Tip: Plenty of good restaurants on the main road - a favourite was Neighbours. You can walk into town to the harbour and lovely old town, but it takes around 1 hour 20 mins. Alternatively catch one of the regular and cheap buses into town and it takes about 10 -15 mins. Went on a day trip to Samaria Gorge - well worth the money and the early morning. Walked across the main highway and into the hills for a great view of coastline. Also took the Yellow Train one evening to some nearby villages, which was really informative as the guide provided information about the flora and traditions of Crete.

“ Hotel staff & management were fantastic especially with our little boy. Everything within easy walking distance. Room basic but very clean, not much in the way of kitchen equipment. Lovely big pool but not great for very small children, quite deep & no easy way into children's pool. Local beach stoney inside but sandy outside. Had a lovely time, wish we could have stayed longer.

“ I was disappointed with the very basic accommodation which is badly in need of upgrading, although the staff are very friendly and helpful. The bed was most uncomfortable and the kitchen amenity severly limited with only a microwave and 2 ring hob. The shower room, frankly indescribable !
“ Top Tip: Mid October meant a lot of the restaurants had closed for the winter and the bus service was limited. The restaurant, Kelari, opposite the entrance to the hotel was worth using for friendliness, local cuisine as well as steaks. The nearest supermarket was excellent, I didn't bother with Lidl. The highlight of the week was driving via dirt roads to Prevelli on the South coast and walking to Palm Bay where there is no vehicular access. Also taking the boat from Chora Sfakion to Agia Roumeli to view the Samaria Gorge and swim in the quiet warm waters.
