Hotel Description:
The Dias Luxury Studios and Apartments are in Stalis and offer full hotel facilities. These modern apartments are bright and comfortable and set in a picturesque setting just 70m from the beach, suitable for families and couples. The beach at Stalis is a beautiful sandy beach with a gentle slope into the sea which is perfect for small children to enjoy playing in the water. There are 24 spacious rooms - some sleeping up to 4 people, a lovely swimming pool and a children’s playground. Official rating 4* This accommodation does not have a 24 hour reception. If guests will arrive after midnight they should advise their arrival time by ‘Special Request’ to ensure staff are available to check them in on arrival.
Local Tips: From Stalis you can go on day trips to Knossos and the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, or to Agios Nikolaos, Elounda and the island of Spinalonga. There are boats to the island of Dia, a few kilometres off the north coast or, enjoy a day cruise to the pretty, white island of Santorini.

Room Facilities:
The Dias Hotel offers Studios (2-3 adults) and Apartments (3-4 adults), and Maisonettes (3-4 adults). All the accommodation is very spacious, fully furnished with the finest quality wood furniture and feature beds with large double orthopaedic mattresses. There are fully equipped kitchenettes, LCD Satellite TV, direct dial telephone, individual air-conditioning (local charge per unit) and heating, safe deposit box (local charge), hair dryer in the bedroom and wooden furniture on the balcony or terrace which offer garden or pool - sea views.Please collect your keys from reception.

Unfortunatly we arrived late during the night to find a note on the reception door giving us directions to our room. I suppose you get what you paid for. We paid £38 per night and our room was probably the worst in the hotel. No sea view, nothing special not a 4 star hotel. Not even close. British standards maybe a 3 at a stretch.
The cat or cats had found their way into our room. Probably because the balcony doors were wide open when we arrived. They had poohed on the towels in the bedroom. We don't want to know where they weed.
The showers were cold one night and morning, but when we mentioned it the hotel staff ensured they were warm for the rest of our stay.
The staff were nice people, helpful and easy to talk to.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Hotel Dias is not what we in the UK would class as 4 star, however the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The Hotel is in a good location and the staff will do anything for you to ensure you have a good holiday. Previous reviews state that the Hotel Manager Maria is a little abrupt, we disagree, she is very kind and approachable if you have the right attitude yourself!
I would recommend a stay at the Dias but expect Greek 4 star & not Radisson Blu...
“ Top Tip: Best palces to eat by far- Yannis 'Golden Heart' in the town centre opposite the small church & La Crete a little further down past the very large Hotel- great greek food and hospitality.

“ Lovely room with microwave, 2 ring cooker, toaster and kettle. Linen changed every 2/3 days and towels also. Maria, the manager was always helpful and friendly. Near to the beach so no long walks. The night barman was pleasant, chatty and most respectful. Ideal hotel for 3 ladies on their own.
“ Top Tip: Marias Golden Beach was where we ate every night. Excellent food and service by the family who own this business. Also the 9 Muses was where we ate the night we arrived as we were very tired and it was nearby. Good food also and friendly, efficient service.

A very comfortable hotel, quite well equipped for self catering.
Several food stores within 10 minutes walk (the nearest is just 2 minutes away.)
10 minutes walk to the beach and to the first of several good retaurants.
Decent size swimming pool but the shallow end is disappointingly shallow considering that there is a separate pool for toddlers.

“ Bit of a strange trip. The hotel was clean and the staff generally friendly although sometimes a bit abrupt but that felt more cultural than personal. However the quality appeared a bit hit and miss, some rooms were in reasonable condition and others were tired and in need of a refit. Our room was ok, although located above the reception and hotel bar areas/fronting the main road, very late nights with loud music/road traffic was hard to get to sleep. Many of the sunloungers were broken which was a shame but overall had a good holiday, met some really interesting people (the other guests). Felt that the hotel tended to cater for the 'big drinker' rather than families or 'quieter' guests.
“ Top Tip: Local bus service was good, used this to go to Elounda and take a ferry over to Spingalonga from there. Much cheaper than the 'tourist trips' and my preference. Elounda was a beautiful area of Crete.

Sentido Anthoussa Resort and Spa is located in the beautiful village of Stalis. The location of the hotel is great as it is based directly beside the beach and only a few minutes away from typical Greek taverns as well as a range of shops and entertainment venues. The hotel amenities include among others a swimming pool area with children's paddling pool, a poolside snack bar as well as sun loungers and parasols. Also special features of this hotel include 1 cosy cafe, a bar, 1 air-conditioned restaurant and 2 open-air a la carte restaurants. Parking is available for guests arriving by car. Heraklion airport is about 26 km away
“ We are a group of 6 people in their late 50's and have just returned from Sentido Anthoussa in Crete. This hotel is wonderful the staff are very helpful and cant do enough for you , the rooms are great if you book a sea view and are luxuary.

Aegean sky is the place to be for those who enjoy living life to the full. The friendly staff will guarantee an enjoyable and lively holiday atmosphere. Our hotel is located in the centre of Malia. It is just off the beach road (strip) where all the bars, clubs, restaurants and shops can be found. The Old Village of Malia is a 5 minute walk where anyone can enjoy traditional Greek cuisine and music. The beach is at the end of the Malia Strip a 25 minute walk from our complex.

This family apartment hotel offers 20 cosy apartments surrounded by gardens. The hotel provides a pool bar offering special cocktails and drinks all day long, and guests can enjoy their breakfast and meals during the day around the pool. Fully air-conditioned, the establishment features a lobby, hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom and a children's playground. Guests may dine in the cafe or restaurant. “ Was a great place to put your head on a nite, my husband and i booked self catering for a week on 27th sept, and it was great especially for the price we paid, i intended not to cook and eat out every nite(which was rather expensive) but we took plenty of money for that reason.
