Filia Hotel

“ We stayed in the apartments, as all the reviews said, they are basic but clean and the maid service was very good, had the towels changed three times and the bed sheets twice in the week we were there, better than some good hotels we stayed in. The three brothers, who own the complex, are great and do all they can to ensure you have a great time. You can't stay at Filia and not notice Billy the bar man, the life and soul of every night. We were there at the very end of October and still the bar opened at 10:00 each morning and only closed when we all went to bed. The same with food, you could get something to eat at anytime of the day. Their prices were very good for both drinks and food. We will be booking a return trip.

“ Top Tip: The best meal we had was at Jannis Golden Hart, all fresh cooked, no frozen chips had starter of bread and dips on the house as well as yogurt and fruit after the meal. Jannis and his wife are great hosts. The Chinese, on the other side of the road, is good value for money. We were there at the end of October and most of the bars, pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops were closed or closed while we were there. There is a very good baker, 100 metres along from Jannis, a good selection of cakes and breads.

“ Amazing what can be done with photos, as both hotel and rooms are nothing like website ones, place looked tired.

“ Top Tip: Close to beach and shops etc, end of season so not much open.

“ very clean and the owners are very friendly.

“ Top Tip: The beach behind the Nemo Bar was probably the best place to go-4 euros per day for 2 sun loungers,beach umbrella,table,use of the bars facilities (toilet,internet access)and waiter service on the beach!!

“ Billy the bar man is a fantastic guy who really goes all out making any and every evening at the bar a fun night. Billy, George the cook and Michael make the three brothers who own and run the hotel alongside Bobbas who made our time there so enjoyable. Thank you so much.

“ Top Tip: Jannis's restaurant (left on the main beach road from Filia hotel) gave consistently the very best tasting food which was also surprising cheaper than other places we visited. We were a group of six and ate in many places over a three week period.

The hotel is in two parts, both based around pools with a bar and food facilities in each. The 'quiet' pool and apartments and the entertaining main bar and pool apartments. We arranged to stay at the quieter apartments while our other friends preferred the main bar area apartments. Perfect!
