“ Very good value. Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Can't fault it.
“ Top Tip: All restaurants in the area offer very good food. For tavernas, I would especially recommend Medusa in town and Kostas near the beach (busy - in a good way - and entertaining). Christos' bar in town is excellent to sit outside after an evening meal, and watch the world go by.

We didn't actually stay at the hotel and had to stress out finding another in the resort. The rooms we booked for 6 nights were booked out to someone else and we were shown what was virtually a broom cupboard instead. We refused this and were sent temporarily to another hotel which didn't begin to reach the standards we expected.
After a long journey, it was awful to have to set out with luggage to find somewhere decent to stay. Please bear in mind that this was booked on 25 June. I have just noticed from my bank statement that the total cost was taken from my account on 26 June. The normal practice is to pay on leaving, so I now find that, not only have we been treated disgracefully, but that we have paid for the privilege!
Would you please refund our hotel fees promptly and be assured that the disdainful attitude we encountered at the Hotel Petra can only harm your reputation.

This was our 2nd visit to the Hotel Petra and it was just as good as last year. Paris the manager is very helpful and friendly and the pool area has been given a facelift with the introduction of a Cretan night run by the fabulous Georgios!
The breakfast is one of the best in the town with fresh cheese, ham, eggs and tomatoes every day as well as cereals and tea, coffee and juice-you can also ask for an omelette at a small extra charge. Most of the rooms have a sea view and are a good size, clean and well maintained.
“ Top Tip: Agia Galini is full of great restaurants and tavernas but some of the best are Kosmas and Pantheon as well as Romantika on the beach.
