this is a great hotel, friendly and informative staff, very happy to share some local knowledge, comfortable rooms with good facilities, good beds, quiet, clean, good buffet breakfast with selection of hot and cold items, and drinks, really enjoyed it. also free parking! quite popular with the older generation but great for anyone.
nice pool but too cold for us to swim in april, samaria gorge was also closed till mid may but irina gorge was beautiful, (my spelling might be a bit out)

“ The hotel were not expecting us so we were not booked in . Luckily I had my voucher with me and they had a room available so were able to book us in. I dont know what would have happened if they had been fully booked.It was a nice hotel but would not class it as five star as no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and you had to pay extra for the safe in the room. There was air conditioning in the room but not really very effective. The site advertises that they have cretan evenings. Whilst we were there there was one evening of entertainment and that was someone playing a violin!
“ Top Tip: Santa Marina Plaza does have a nice beach and a visit to Chania ia a must on the local bus which runs every half hour from nearly outside the hotel
