Thalassa Beach Resort Hotel

“ This is a fabulous hotel. Very comfortable rooms, more luxurious than most Greek places I've stayed in. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a massive attention to detail by everyone. This is a four star hotel but it left me wondering why it wasn't a five star. It's not a massive hotel but it is a family business that is run to precision and with the customer in mind. We returned from an 11 night stay in May 2012 and would love to go back. Perfect location, on the beach with loads of restaurants both to the right and left of the hotel. Bus stop into Chania almost opposite hotel and very cheap and easy. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

“ Top Tip: Try hopping on the bus to Chania. It cost 1.60 euros one way for one person. A taxi would be 20 euros. Also try walking into the villages to the left and right of Agia Marina. They are both worth it and merge into one another.

“ A very friendly, clean and well looked after hotel. It has changed this year to an adults only hotel and is situated on the main road in Agia Marina. The road does not cause any problems as all the hotel facilities are at the rear which runs down to the beach. The staff are very helpful and friendly and all in all it's a nice hotel. Please note that if you book a junior suite then the bedroom is upstairs on a mezzanine level but the bathroom is downstairs.

We booked bed and breakfast giving us the opportunity to eat out in the many local tavernas close by. We had a very enjoyable holiday there and as a couple in our 50's would not hesitate to go back.

“ Top Tip: Try walking into the older parts of the town where the tavernas are excellent.

“ A great hotel, friendly staff, good food, comfortable room and spotlessly clean. Close to the beach, shops bars etc. Couldn't fault it.

“ Very enjoyable break in Agios Marina staying at the Thallassa Beach Resort. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the staff very willing to help.
Buffet breakfasts and Dinners both had a wide range of food available, catering for the less adventurous diner as well as those who would enjoy the local cuisine, and beautifully presented. Evening meal requests that clients are to be formally dressed, i.e. long trousers for men.
There were some very young family members staying at the hotel, as well as older children/young adults, and the hotel appeared to be popular with couples as well as family/friend groups.

“ Top Tip: Very easy to get to Chania by public transport. Bus stop, across road and approx 50 yds to the right of hotel as you exit hotel. (Bus stop 17) Approx 1/2 hourly service. Takes 15 mins and cost 1.60 Euro (single adult fare)
