This beach hotel has a 24-hour reception desk, an indoor bar, a lounge with satellite TV, fireplace, mini-market, as well as a conference room capable of accommodating up to 50 persons. There is a large lawn area, as well as both a kids' club and a children's playground offering safe haven at playtime for younger guests. The hotel has 170 rooms in total. All rooms in the main building were renovated over winter 2006/2007. It is air-conditioned and has a lobby, a safe, cloakroom, currency exchange facility and lift access. Dining facilities also feature. Internet access is offered (subject to fees).This hotel is situated in Gouves on the north coast of the wonderful island of Crete, only 15 km east of Heraklion International Airport. Due to this stretch of coast being clean and unspoilt this is the ideal beach resort for vacations. The centre of Gouves, with its bars and nightlife, is just a short walk away. Knossos Minoan Palace and Heraklion Archaeological museum are both just a 30-minute drive away.The modern and comfortable rooms come equipped with en suite bathroom with bath or shower, direct dial phone, individually adjustable air conditioning, Internet access, mini-fridge, TV, hairdryer, safety deposit box and either a balcony or terrace. Baby's cots are also available on request.On the grounds of the hotel, in front of the beach, guests will find a smartly constructed swimming pool together with a separate children's paddling pool and a pool bar. Sun loungers and parasols also feature. Sport enthusiasts will also find badminton, minigolf and table tennis. For an additional fee golf, parasailing and volleyball are offered. Scooter/Moped and bicycle hire are also options. The hotel offers daytime and evening entertainment program (starting in May) with music and shows. Banana boating, water skiing, jet skiing, wind surfing and pedal boating are all also available (subject to fees) as well as pool and card tables.

“ A clean and efficient hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The twin rooms are a little basic for 4* but quite comfortable. It was nice to have a working fridge, balcony and air conditioning! The pool area is generally in quite good condition although a few of the sun loungers had broken struts - and they have to be claimed well before 9am. The pool is open from 8am to 7pm. All meals are buffet style and there is quite a lot of variety, although the quality of the cooked meals is a bit variable. The salads were very good. Unfortunately nothing is labelled, there are no tourist brochures and the pool activities are run by very enthusiastic ladies who don't speak much English. The hotel has ramps and lifts, so wheelchairs and luggage can be easily moved around. The bar area is comfortable and there are plenty of chairs outside offering quite a lot of shade when the sun gets too hot.

Top Tip:
Bring a beach towel or you'll have to pay 7 Euros for a thin one in the hotel shop.
We were on half board and evening drinks tended to be 2.5-3 Euros each.
The beach is just across the promenade road and it is very pleasant, with golden sand - however it is always busy and the sun loungers on the beach cost 6 euros a day.
The convenience store is quite cheap (60 cents for a big bottle of water), and the beachfront cafe next to the pool is a nice place to enjoy a lunchtime snack. A number of Tavernas can be found between 7 and 20 minutes walk away along the promenade. A good location for plane spotters as jets fly overhead several times an hour.

After other reviews I was nervous, I should not have been. What a brilliant holiday! Everything was enjoyable from the food to the entertainment to the hotel itself. The staff were so accommodating. The beaches were brilliant. Just superb. Veyr happy. Great value for money!!

Top Tip:
Use car hire instead of taxis! Car hire next door to hotel superb. 2 days car hire cheaper than a taxi trip into the town centre!

“ Hotel was excellent for location, right next to the beach which was fantastic, rooms were basic but clean. The food choice was limited as it was a small hotel, but quality was very good. Would definitely go back!
