cATERED MAINLY FOR THE FRENCH. WE WERE DISAPPOINTED TO BE THE ONLY ENGLISH PEOPLE THERE. WE SPOKE TO ONE ENGLISH COUPLE EARLY IN THE WEEK, THEN THEY WENT HOME AND I BELIEVE WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE.
THE ENTERTAINMENT AT NIGHT WAS A QUIZ IN FRENCH. WE WENT TO THE OTHER BAR FOR A QUIET DRINK, BUT IT WAS CLOSED. THEY ONLY HAD ONE BAR OPEN EACH NIGHT AND THAT WAS FOR THE FRENCH QUIZ AND ENTERTAINMENT. WE GOT A DRINK AND WENT BACK TO OUR ROOMS.

Top Tip: WE LOVED THE AREA BUT WE BOOKED ALL INCLUSIVE AND FOUND OURSELVES PAYING TO GO TO OTHER BARS FOR MEALS AND DRINKS. WE LOVED AGIA PELAGIA BUT NOT THE HOTEL WE STOPPED AT.

Hotel geared to French visitors particularly food and entertainment, although this did not bother us. The food was very similar each day but the fresh daily bread was superb. As it's built on a peninsula there are many steps so will not be suitable for everyone. The "bungalow" we stayed in was really a big room with extra beds but did have a first class sea view.
The hotel does not rate 4 stars in our view.

Top Tip: Two good beaches near the hotel, one very close with friendly tavernas (food choce much better at these) and mini markets. Aghia Pelagia is a nice area.

Check-in date:

Hotel well run and in good condition with a good range of food which usually had a greek theme. Fish was always available and 2 or 3 meat dishes which were served hot. The room was fine with quiet efficient air conditioning. Towels were changed daily. The views from the hotel were very pleasant. Bar staff friendly and there was a range of rum/gin/brandy based cocktails available as part of the all inclusive package. The indoor Piano Bar was shut due to redecoration which was a pity as it would have been nice to sit in on the odd occasion when it rained. There is a nice sand/pebble beach 2 minutes to the west of the hotel which appeared to be good for snorkelling and a diving school was available. There was usually some entertainment in French in the evening. The clientele were mostly French during our stay and we had a very pleasant 7 days.

Top Tip: There is a nice sand/pebble beach 2 minutes to the west of the hotel which appeared to be good for snorkelling and a diving school was available. The village of Agia Pelagia was a 20 minute walk and was worth the odd visit as it has a pretty beach and enough souvenir/jewelery shops to browse. A public bus is available to Iraklion for 3.20 Euro per journey and pickup and drop off was from the hotel. Car hire is available from nearby for 35 Euros all inclusive per day for a small car.

Nice Holiday. End of season but had a good time. Crete is nice, Heraklion's worth a visit. Beach at the hotel's good but beer on the resort a bit weak. May visit Crete again.
