Alantha Apartments

“ Husband and I spent 5 nights at Atlantha Appartments and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were polite and very helpful and the swimming pool and reasonably priced bar topped the holiday off very nicely. The steps down to the beach (near the hotel) were very steep but worth the climb. Alternatively, turning left from the hotel and following the road there were several very reasonably priced tavernas.

“ Top Tip: The prices of the cafes varied tremendously, but following the road to the right from the hotel brings you eventually to a super restaurant 'Delta' which was family run and served delicious food for not very much.

“ Spotlessly clean apartments, spacious and well equipped. Roof pool accessible by lift, superb views and excellent service from Christine who is a wealth of knowledge on where to go, local amenities etc.

Apartments kept spotlessly clean, nothing too much trouble for staff.

Access from street not for the faint of heart, via a very steep set of steps, would be unsuitable for people with mobility difficulties.

“ Top Tip: When you go out of the main reception, turn left (not the usual right towards harbour and lake). It will seem as if there is nothing of interest initially but within a few hundred yards you will come across several restaraunts/tavernas. Try Knossos especially, a wide range of delicious dishes, extremely well priced and a welcome second to none from the owners. Try the carafe of local wine, very reasonably priced.

“ Great apartments although up a steep hill. If you are not fit then getting your cases up would be impossible.

“ Extremely friendly and helpful receptionist - Christina was great and most informative on local ameneties etc. Rooms were very clean, towels and bedding changed every couple of days.

“ Top Tip: we sampled a number of tavernas/restaurants and all were of good quality
