Crystal Hotel

“ Great, friendly hotel, with lovely staff (from the housekeepers to the managers). Rumour has it that big changes are on the way for next season as the new owners want to make it all-inclusive. In my experience this can only be a bad thing.
Love the place just as it is, if they change it...i'd approach with caution...

“ Hotel was clean and well managed. Breakfast was always the same but very adequate. Location quiet and pretty and overlooking marina. About 30 min walk to town but bus from outside. Pool was ok but slightly dirty.

“ Top Tip: For people without cars there is a bus stop on road outside hotel. It always came if sometimes a little late. Best to get timetable from bus ststion.

“ Crystal is next door to its sister Ormos in a lovley position overlooking a quiet harbour with a quiet childrens playpark on the waterfront. Great view ofthe harbour and town from the dining room. Our room in Crystal would not accomodate 3 adults though that was what we booked. We were moved after a day to more suitable accomodation in Ormos. Bathrooms need updating, shower small, curtain did not prevent water flowing onto floor, no bath but everything worked well enough. Not luxury but service good (best exchabge rate we found was at hotel reception) with 24hr bar and good breakfast choices (nothing cooked).The rooms were kept very clean with beautifully made bed every day. Comfortable, quiet, lovely balcony. Nice pool with free sunbeds in sun or shade. 15 - 20 min walk to beaches and most restaurants. Beautiful 8/9th century church nearby and nice quiet walk around the local bay/headland. Great places to visit nearby. Met lots of nice people too. For us it was a memorable holiday.

“ Top Tip: Recommend Amoudi beach (about 10 mins walk) small but well serviced (inc toilets) for blue flag swimming.
Kritsa gorge well worth a visit for those that way inclined - we exited at the '1st Exit'. Be prepared for some moderate scrambing.
Restaurants not to miss: 'La Strada' and 'Pelagos'.

“ Having booked a doble room for single occupancy I was given a broom cupboard of a room in the Crystal which was too small for 1 person. Having struggled up the marble spiral staircase with my luggage (no lifts) I asked to move rooms which happened 2 days later and I was transferred into the Ormos Hotel. Room was larger but still the same low standard. Breakfast was very basic but probably what you would expect. Overall this hotel should be rated more like a 1 star.
