The Kalithea Apartments is located on a hillside with panoramic views of the Bay of Elounda close to a fully organized shingle beach on the North-East part of the island paradise of Crete. Kalithea means 'beautiful view' and boy is it ever! Situated 4 km from the charming village of Elounda and 6 km from the city of Agios Nikolaos, this fully renovated 3 Star hotel offers 30 contemporary studios and apartments with modern amenities. There is regular bus service stopping in front of the apartments and beautiful beaches are just 5 minutes (2.5 km) by bus. Due to the hillside location of this property it is not suitable for guests with wheelchairs or those with walking difficulties.
Heraklion International Airport is a 63 km from the Kalithea Apartments.
Local Tips: Places of interest include the Palace of Knossos, Elounda and the island of Spinalonga, Lasithi Plateau, Chrissi Island and Vai, famous for its palm forest located right on the beach

It was a pleasure to return there after some 5 years.
Being built on a hillside, it does have disadvantages, but, learning to 'slow down' is part of the secret of overcoming this !!
I would NOT want to stay here WITHOUT a car !!

“ The Kalithea Apartments are situated between Ag Nik and Elounda. Some of The apartments have stunning views all the way to Spinalonga Island. A car is a must although there is a bus stop directly outside the apartments both to Elounda and to Ag Nik and the bus service is both frequent and remarkably punctual. The knack is to be at the bus stop about 10 mins after its departure time from Elounda or Ag Nik. The apartments are basic which is the norm for greece but both spacious and kept clean by the outstanding MARIA. Maria will sort out anything you need and is such a lovely person, If you are happy with Maria dont forget to leave a tip, she works 12 hours for very little and only gets paid for 8 hours anyhow. most of the apartments have a very large balcony capable of playing a game of football on. The swimming pool is great but very deep in most areas my wife who is 5'2" could only stand by the steps in one corner. As self catering apartments these are great, amazing location albeit a little out of both towns. I will certainly be going back with my family.

Top Tip:
We always use Ammoudi Beach for our beach days. Plaka just past Elounda is a must, meals expensive compared to Elounda and Ag Nik, but what a lovely idealic place. Knossos Taverna opposite Ammoudi Beach is also a must best Stifado and Kleftico in town.
I would steer clear of the restraunts around the lake in Ag Nik we tried a couple and the food was bland and tasteless. Apparrently frozen produce used, Lovely setting but food so dissapointing.

“ the only thing I can say positive about the hotel is that the pool is ok. The owner employs one maid for 29 rooms so she cannot possibly get round them all to clean and service as frequently as is required (I felt sorry for her as she tries her best). Although the hotel states that it has a mini market and bar snacks; it does not, in fact all it sells on the stack of shelves is biscuits; three packets to be precise. We had to ask for another matress after two sleepless nights as ours had so many springs sticking out, it was unbelieveable. We were not expecting much at this two star hotel, but I could not rate it as this at all. The place has the atmosphere of a sinking ship, left to tick along... just.

Top Tip:
Across the highway there is the Adrakos Apartments which serve delicious traditional Greek foods, such as goat and pork from the oven, absolutely amazing and sitting outside on the trendy verands across the bay of Elounda, the view is quite something... take binoculars!
The bar Friends in Elounda, just on the main road in as you get to the square is great with freindly staff and owner Dimitris.

“ This was a very good base for Agios Nikolaos and Elounda. We enjoyed our short stay at the apartment which was well equipped. The view from our room was superb and the pool was delightful. Maria who maintained the hotel's cleanliness was very diligent in carrying out her duties and was very helpful.
“ Top Tip: We had a rental car which was convenient. However, the bus service between Ag Nik and Elounda run frequently. Spinalonga island is well worth a visit for teenagers and upwards. Children might find it uninteresting!

This air-conditioned beach apartment hotel features a 24-hour reception and 24-hour check-in/check out service, a hotel safe and a currency exchange facility, a TV room, a breakfast room and car parking facilities. The 2-storey buildings are set at a distance of approximately 30 m from each other and comprise a total of 85 rooms. Access to rooms on the ground floor is via 4-5 steps. Rooms on the 1st floor may be reached by stairs only as there is no lift access.

For those who want to spend a relaxing and charming stay in the splendid island of Crete, the Mikro Village is the perfect choice for you. This marvellous structure is situated in the western part of the island, a real heaven of peace. The building is characterized by its white facade and red roof. Moreover, our structure boasts spacious luxuriant gardens, where you can enjoy splendid views of the sea. The Mikro Village lacks nothing. This lovely structure is provided with a large outdoor swimming pool, the ideal place where you can spend relaxing moments and sip optimal drinks in the adjacent swim-up pool bar. Moreover, for those who want to keep fit also during their holiday, the hotel places at their disposal a gym, as well as a tennis court, perfect for the tennis lovers. Finally, for those who travel with their children, the Mikro Village is furnished with a play room, equipped with electronic games and billiard, as well as an outdoor play area.
“ The hotel needs a bit of general maintainence however the most important aspects of the hotel - swimming pool, reception, snack bar are well maintained. The rooms were a little dated. Staff on the whole were extremely friendly although i would not recommend the Wednesday BBQ as the Chef appeared to give all the food to the tables that he had friends on.

Boasting stunning views of Kri-Kri Island and the mountains of Sitia, this 3 Star vacation retreat is an ideal spot for couples and young families offering 22 furnished one and two bedroom apartments within an attractive garden setting, and excellent service given by the friendly staff. Guests to the Havania Apartments city can visit nearby Agios Nikolaos town 3.3 km away, with its unique “bottomless lake”, and museum, the harbour, and lively cosmopolitan nights! Heraklion International Airport is a 68 km from the Havania Apartments. Local Tips: Famous attractions include the archaeological sites at Knossos, Phaistos, Gortys. However, many other places, such as the Venetian castle in Rethymno, the Samaria Gorge and many other minor gorges (Agia Irini, Aradena, etc), are also of interest.
“ The apartmenta were really good, 2 minutes from bed to swimming, with plenty of space for sunbathing. All the staff were helpful, and we enjoyed breakfast every day, and sometimes lunched there as well. However they could do with updating the pool table, and providing just a little bit more parking. Apart from that- hightly recommended

In the traditional village of Piskopiano, 1.5 kilometres from Hersonissos. The Stelva Villas is located about 1.5 kilometres from the beach and 30 kilometres from Heraklion International Airport. The facilities and services of the apartment complex include: front desk, bar, swimming pool and parking.
