Rea Hotel Agios Nikolaos

“ The hotel was in a good location close to town centre but though close to sea front the beaches were not quite on the doorstep, which was fine for me but may not be fine for others. I had a good sea view.
The hotel was rather old fashioned, a bit dowdy, which also may not appeal to some.
The owners and staff were pleasant and obliging.
It was very quiet. I never once saw a single person in the hotel bar. There is a grand piano there but it was silent. Perhaps just too early in the season, or poor economic situation. Breakfast was poor, but Greek breakfasts generally are!
It was good to be close to town centre and that was the main thing.

Fish taverna Okeanis was good. Found them all ok around lake, actually.
recommend buying half caraffe of wine. Quality good and cheaper than by the bottle.

“ This was the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in.
The food was dire, we ate out every day although it was supposed to be "all inclusive" Even the bread at breakfast was stale.
Local drinks consisted of Ouzo or Brandy only. There were no local equivalents to Gin, Vodka or Baccardi.
For us the worst thing was that the family thought that the services provided were of an acceptable standard.
This cannot be a *** star hotel. We have previously stayed in * star hotels that were MUCH better than this.
