“ I used it for a short stay after a late arrival at Heraklion Airport. The staff were very welcoming even late at night. As on a previous occasion the rooms were spotlessly clean and just as described. It was a good value stop over hotel . i did not use it but is on the direct bus route to the airport.

“ good clean hotel, good size rooms all with t.v, fridge, hairdryer,balcony,built-in wardrobes, helpfull staff, only let down is the walk to beach, about 5mins but a good sandy beach.
“
Top Tip:
Havana club on beach for food and drinks, buy a drink get sunbed free all day,
reasonably prices and food.

“ I have been going in Castro Hotel for the last 5 Years , but for the last 2 years the whole area has been become derelict with half the shops and business closed down and the quality of service and food at Castro Hotel Very poor

Renovated in 2005, this city hotel comprises a total of 43 rooms. Guests are offered a lobby with a 24-hour reception desk, lifts and a currency exchange counter. In addition, there is also a TV lounge and Internet access for an additional fee. Business guests are offered various seminar facilities with modern meeting equipment. A selection of national and international drinks and dishes may be enjoyed in the cafe and in the restaurant, which offers highchairs for children. For an additional fee, there is also a laundry service and room service on offer. Medical assistance is also available on request and for an added fee.
“ I have stayed at this hotel now on 4 occasions and i can not rate it highly enough for the cost. It is very well located,being in the city centre,and is close to all facilities as well as the bus station and port. even though i did not, eat at the hotel in the evening, i can certainly vouch for the breakfast which is both varied & tasty.

“ Reception staff & house keeping are very polite,welcoming & made stay pleasurable. The Bungalows had wood lice & ants and request's were made a couple of times to change bed covers because they were covered in ants.

This hotel is set within gardens that surround the swimming pool. There are 150 rooms at this air-conditioned hotel, which was renovated in 2008. Guests are welcomed into the lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and lift access. Guests can entertain themselves in the games room, TV lounge and children's playground, whilst the cafe, bar and restaurant cater to dining and refreshment needs. A car park is available for those arriving by car.
“ The Hotel was clean and generally in good order,rooms were cleaned and towels changed everyday.Local drinks and food were fine for all inclusive guests.On the downside there wasn't a lot going on no entertainment at all, there wasn't even a karaoke bar anywhere near ! OK for people who just like sunbathing or laying around the pool.

The hotel is ideal for families and couples looking for flexible accommodation close to the beach where they can spend a relaxing holiday. The fully air-conditioned hotel comprises a total of 50 apartments and studios and facilities include: lobby, hotel safe, currency exchange and a restaurant.The hotel is only 100 metres from the beach in the tourist area of Amoudara and 3 miles from the centre of Heraklion. The beach is the longest in the Heraklion area and is lined with bars, shops, hotels, restaurants and cafes as well as local markets.The modern apartments and studios all offer individually adjustable air conditioning, en suite bathroom with shower, TV, direct dial telephone, safe, kitchenette, fridge and a balcony.The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool with a children's paddling section, as well as a poolside snack bar.
“ The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff cannot be faulted. The room was kept clean etc however, the bathroom was a bit below par.The menu for half board guests could have been more varied but that having been said the food was good.
