The hotel badly needs rooms refufbishing eg:kitchen fittings, bedroom furniture.
Cupboards were old and dingy, did'nt want to put my clothing in drawers etc.
Base of cupboards (where pans kept)in kitchen were falling apart and dirty.
Air-con (which we paid 40euros)was only in 1 bedroom and did'nt cool any other part of the appartment.
I have stayed in Analipsi 6 times in the past 7years and was disappointed in the Tsalos Beach Hotel. The service from staff was very good, helpful and friendly.
The front of house looked very inviting until you got inside.
“ Top Tip: There were some great restaurants nearby,Athina just two doors away.Sirtaki,in centre of village and Ella Messa on the beach front.Food and service and price were really good value.(I used Travel Republic last year to go to Tobago and thats why I used them this year)

“ Very nice and friendly hotel, basic but very clean and an excellent location, very good for a bargain holiday break. Lovely quiet village feels very safe.
“ Top Tip: Most resturants had the same food but all in all they were all nice, though we did have a couple of nights where food was cold and Greek waiters do not take criticism very well, they seemed to think it was impossible that the food could be cold and didnt do much about it. But all in all good value for money, very generous portion always given bread for starters and melon for desert - meal for 2 with drinks about 30 euros per couple.

Plesent, people very friendly. Appartments need a bit of updating, we are not fussy but the kitchen was a bit worse for wear as was the bathroom. €60 extra for aircon was a bit of 'a con'. They were though clean and serviced at least 3 times in 10 days. The beach was good and our part well looked after by a guy called Freddie who gave a foot bowl full of water to keep sand off chairs, fab simple idea, and fruit everyday for free, all for €6. Although some of the beach was a bit grubby further along which was disapointing. An honest 6.5/10, but could easily be an 8/10 with a bit of updating.

The beach was good and our part well looked after although some of the beach was a bit grubby further along which was disapointing.
The area was very quiet due to the economic situation but the resteraunts in Analipsi were very good on the most part. Mythos and Sirtaki and Volkano our top 3.
We hired a moped for 3 days and went to the old villages in the mountains near to Hirsonissos which was good - but roads are not the best!

“ The main plus we can report for Tsalos Beach Hotel was definitely the staff themselves. They were very welcoming and attentive to your needs and more often than not anticipated your needs, provided they were realisitic and fair. Very friendly and relaxed with good restaurent and terrace next to the village front.
“ Top Tip: The beach was right on your door step and was a lovely compromise of not too busy, but lots going on to see and do. A good tip to enhance your stay would be to consider a hire car and look further around Crete. Also, for a welcome change of scene spend a few euros and hire a taxi to take you up for an evening or two in the lovely villages at Piskopiana and Old Hersonnissos.
