This was a lovely hotel with delightful staff. The only downside was that the first rooms we were given did not have a sea-view, which we had paid for. It was soon remedied, though, and we realised afterwards that the hotel was probably worried about us being disturbed by the large group of conference members who were already in situ. The food at the hotel was consistently excellent. Our next problem was not caused by the hotel
at all but they did solve it for us: a general strike was held on the day we were due to come home. The next flights we could take were not until 3 days later and our hotel was shutting down. The wonderful reception staff arranged for us to have accommodation (at our special TravelRepublic rates) at their sister hotel, which turned out to be a Leading Hotel of the World! The weather immediately improved and our last three days were fantastic.

Plenty of waterside restaurants on the short walk into Elounda, suitable for drinks or lunch-time snacks.
A must is the boat trip to SpinaLunga.
