With views over the Aegean Sea, in a beachfront position, the Kaissa Beach apartments are close to local amenities, and are a fantastic base to visit nearby resorts and to explore the beautiful island of Crete.
Hotel Location and Resort:
In an excellent location 10 metres from the beach and only 300 metres from a good selection of bars, restaurants and taverns, the main resort centre of Gouves is just 600 metres away. Gouves is a small and quiet resort, popular with guests looking for a quiet holiday destination. It has a charming old town with small boutiques and souvenir shops, and a selection of cafes, bars and restaurants along the sea front. Evening entertainment is low key, traditional and relaxed. For guests who enjoy a more active holiday in the daytime, there are plenty of water sports on offer at the beach, payable locally, including scuba diving, parasailing and windsurfing.
Eating and Drinking:
The Kaissa beach features an a la carte restaurant with excellent sea views and table service, serving traditional Mediterranean dishes and Greek specialities, and a poolside snack bar offering light snacking options and refreshing drinks.
Activities and Entertainment:
Live evening entertainment at the Kaissa Beach is frequent and varied throughout the summer months and includes a Cretan night with live shows of traditional music and dances, along with traditional local dishes including steaks, char-grilled chicken, salads, locally caught flamed grilled fish, plus many other delights.
Summer BBQ parties are also popular serving grilled pork chops, steaks, sausages, various salads and cheeses, Cretan roasted potatoes, tzatziki, seasonal fruit and an after dinner aperitif shot.
On a Sunday, available from lunch time is the typical Cretan roast, with traditional roast vegetables and a choice of hand carved meat.
Facilities also on offer at the apartments include a pool table, TV lounge, children’s playground.
Pool Area:
The Kaissa Beach has lovely gardens with palm trees and exotic flowers, and features a free form, outdoor swimming pool, with ample sun loungers and parasols set out on the surrounding tiled, sun terrace.

“ Very pleasant, staff friendly and efficient. Could find no faults.
“ Top Tip: Spiros Taverna in Palo Gouves, a two mile walk up the hill to the old village, buty if you like authentic Greek food and surroundings you couldn't do better.

“ You get what you pay for, basic appartments but very clean and staff are friendly, close to restaurants and not far from the airport, beaches were close.
“ Top Tip: We liked the 3rd beach one furthest away from the appartments, it had permanent sun loungers with gazebo's which were for the other hotel's use but we were given bottles of water and it only took 10/ 15 minutes to walk too. Nice restaurants on the way as well, can't miss it, they had a parot by the bar.

“ regularly cleaned, friendly english speaking staff, very nice food at the restaurant, 10 % off if you are staying at kaissa plus childrens play area next to restaurant (very useful) this was our seventh time to crete fourth time to gouves and will be staying at kiassa beach next time. my kids (17) - (6) loved it.
“ Top Tip: if you like football (liverpool) anfield bar 10-15 mins walk. nearest beach (sandy) turn left out of kiassa 15 mins walk,our favourite turn right 20 mins walk (sandy) if you like rocks or large pebbles, then straight across the road. nearest super market 20 mins turn left. right 25.

I HAVE STAYED IN THIS HOTEL 3TIMES IN THE LAST 4 YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED MY STAY.THE STAFF ARE GREAT AND VERY HELPFULL AND FRIENDLY. I KNOW GREECE HAS HAD A BAD YEAR THIS YEAR WITH THEIR ECONOMY BUT I NOTICED THIS YEAR THAT THE ROOMS ARE LOOKING TIRED.
SIMPLE THINGS LIKE NO GROUT IN THE SHOWER TRAY TILES LEAVING THE DRAIN LOOSE.COULD USE SOME NEW TOWELS. THINGS THAT ARE SIMPLE TO FIX.I LOVE THIS HOTEL AND WILL PROBABLY GO BACK AGAIN.
“ Top Tip: ON THE STRIP A TAVERNA CALLED ELOTIA SERVES GREAT FOOT AND IN A FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE. THE ANFIELD BAR IS FRIENDLY AND IF THERE IS A MATCH A GAME OR ANYTHING ELSE ON THEY GET IT.

“ We have returned here for the 3rd time . It is now under new management but this did not have any effect on our stay,you get what you pay for basic facilities in room but cleaners come in regular and changed towels and sheets after3- 4 days.Friendly helpful staff at the pool bar make you feel very welcome and get everyone mingling together.any little problem we had management dealt with straight away.only negative thing to say was blankets smelt a bit musty , if your looking for wild partying this is NOT the place to stay.Will we return again? Yes

Top Tip:
There is some great places to eat, Come out of apartment turn right about a 5min walk you come to 2 friends nice friendly staff and good atmosphere.You must try Philippo's (Think Manuel & Mr Bean) Lge portions and friendly, come out of apartments turn right and walk to the little church turn right and it's just down the road on your right. Full Enlish breakfast at Anfield bar was vile.If you carry on walking past the church you come to a large supermarket with a good selection
Don't waste your money on the happy train It sounds exciting but not as advertised,you just drive around the local streets believe me Not picturesque gets boring very soon .If you have small children keep them close because outside they have no idea about health and safety with big drops and no railing & uneven pavements with wires sticking out
