“ This hotel was in an excellent location, close to the port in Heraklion. It is a great base if you want to travel to see the palace of Knossos and the local museum. The restaurant had nice food and lovely views of the city. We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Heraklion to see the sights for a couple of days.
“ Top Tip: The bus station is quite close and from there you can take a bus to Knossos for a few Euros (about a 15 minute bus journey).

“ If you are intent on exploring Heraklion the Lato is in an excellent location. Superb views over the old Venetian harbour. Large balcony where you can sit and enjoy a drink. Excellent rooftop restaurant, again with great views, although quite expensive. Parking not easy but staff take car keys from you and park it for you - very helpful. Room adequate, not overly spacious, but has everything you need. Shower quite small. Great buffet breakfast with vast range. Good value. Staff friendly and helpful.
“ Top Tip: If you are looking for a special meal then the rooftop restaurant at the Lato takes some beating.

“ Top Tip: we found nice restaurant near the hotel but the beach was too far to walk there but luckuly we hired a car, to travel there it took about 30 minute to get to the beach by car,
