The Aldemar Knossos Royal hotel offers Double Rooms with either a garden view (some with connecting door), sea view or VIP sea front with sharing pool. There are also Family Rooms with 1 bedroom, 1 bedroom / sitting-room, and 1 bathroom with access doors from both rooms, for 2-4 persons. All have 24hr air-conditioning (mid-May to mid-September, min), twin beds, a sofa-bed, bathroom with bathtub and hair dryer, satellite TV with music channels, direct dial telephone, refrigerator (mini-bar on request / extra charge), safe box and a furnished balcony or veranda.Please collect your keys from reception.

“ We have just returned from an 11 night holiday with our 2 kids - 7 and 4. We had a marvellous holiday. The family rooms are large and comfortable - although the air con isn't great. The resort is kept very clean, the staff are very welcoming and friendly, the food is amazing (recommend going for the all inclusive package - otherwise you could end up spending a fortune on drinks). The entertainment staff try their best and work hard - but Broadway need not worry just yet! I would definitely return to the Knossos Royal Village. The beach is on your doorstep, the pools are large - although sea water rather than fresh water.

“ Very pleasant and clean place to stay. Hotel staff very friendly, food very good and plently of choice. Lovely location, but a bit too far to walk into town area. Taxi cost 8 euros - 10 mins away. Very nice beach area - would recommend for a relaxing break.

Did not think hotel of 5 star quality, buffet food repetitive and only allowed one visit to the two themed restaurants per holiday (whether staying for one week or longer). Had problem with the bath, it took 3 days for the problem to be rectified satisfactorily, although the maintenance staff worked on it on 3 consecutive days! This was our 5th holiday in Crete and our 1st at the Knossos Royal Village, previous hotels were to a much higher standard.

“ The accomadation was good as was the hotel staff,the food was super,a good selection of dishes ,decent coffee,decent drinks.the only downers for me was the lack of activities (due to animation troupe being cut down).The other downer was the beach,pool and tavern bars closing at 6pm leaving just one bar open ,i know its not high season but it is nice to sit out by the beach bar after 6pm .

“ We had a great time away and had private pool and walled garden, however we were unable to use any of the pools as they weren't heated! Staff were very friendly and standard of accommodation was great. The food was average for buffet dining but plenty of choice. No decent beaches close to the hotel so you need to hire a car to get to the better ones.

The Aloi Hotel is in a peaceful area, 250 metres from the beach. There is a handful of shops, bars, taverns and restaurants near to the hotel. The nearby resort of Hersonissos has a large selection of shops, bars, restaurants and clubs and is the place to go if you are looking for a livelier evening, or a days shopping. This hotel is an ideal choice for families and couples looking for a quiet, relaxing property for a truly restful holiday in Crete. The hotel has 25 bungalows and double rooms, all facing the sea. Rooms on the upper floor have sea views whilst those on the ground floor look out on the attractive gardens. The hotel pool is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar. The garden restaurant offers a quiet shady place to enjoy a meal, on Saturdays there is fresh fish from the market, fortnightly barbeques with various meats and roasted potatoes from the wood-burning kiln and original thai cuisine is also available.
“ We would have loved to stay at the Aloi again, it was a garden oasis in Anissaras full of beautiful flowers, trees and birdsong. Despite being only rated a 2 star the place was clean and friendly with a lovely garden bar and nice pool.
