I have just returned from a fantastic holiday with my partner and friends. The hotel is more of a small village than just a hotel. It is obviously a very popular destination. The bedrooms are fine in size and are clean. They are quite basic for a 4* but I don't believe it is a problem unless you are planning to spend your holiday indoors. The staff on Reception were very unhelpful and miserable but everyone else was lovely.
The location is fabulous. There are so many things to do. There are 3 massive swimming pools, a shop onsite and the hotel is situated right on the coast. In fact, the sunbeds around the poolside spill out onto the beach, it's so close.
A few yards around the corner there is Star Beach. This is obviously a party beach resort for young adults so can get particularly noisy at times which didnt bother us being in our early twenties, but perhaps you can request for a room away from this if you want some quiet time. Star Beach offered lots of fun activities though including banana boats and jet skis etc which we took full advantage of!
We stayed all inclusive at the hotel. The fact that you have to serve yourself drinks may seem like a novelty to some, but the quality of the beverages weren't very good. All that aside, I do not know how anyone can complain about the food. There was SO much variety. It was fresh and delicious, so fresh in fact that you can watch the chefs cook you fresh pancakes for breakfast or juicy chicken at dinner. Regarding the ridiculous 'catering for Germans' comments, only if you are a typical Brit on holiday filling your face with burgers and chips can you make such a statement.
We went on lots of trips which you can book at various travel agents down the road, including the Aquapark and a glass bottomed boat. We even fancied a night out in Malia to see what the fuss is about, and that was only 15 euros in a taxi and about 10 mins away.
Overall we had a fab time. I think if you are going to party and drink you should choose a resort closer to Malia or not choose all inclusive because of the limited selection of alcohol, but if you want fun with your friends and family and a bit of relaxation, this hotel is ideal.
“ Top Tip: Chill out and have a chinese massage on the beach just outside the hotel for only 15 euros.

“ We have recently returned from staying at the Eri Beach on an All Inclusive basis for a week. We could not fault this hotel. The food was fresh and well cooked, the rooms were cleaned daily, the staff were friendly and helpfull and the hotel was in a good location. The hotel had mainly Eastern European visitors - ie Russian and Polish in the main, however we found them friendly, and had no issues with not seeing any brits for a week. If I had any fault at all about this hotel, it has to be that the wine is not drinkable and you definately need a mosquito repelant. That aside we really enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

Good quality hotel with good recreational facilities.
However the hotel residents were 90% German and the food and catering was of a continental cuisine and not for the British pallette. Not a good advertisement for an All Inclusive resort.
“ Top Tip: The hotel was situated right next to the Star Beach Waterpark and on the main road into Herssonisos town. There were several bars and restaurants of a reasonable quality in the area.

“ hotel eri beach was a great hotel, very clean and well run with minimum fuss. The all inclusive meals where what i expected and myself and my family ate well for a fortnight. The choice of drinks seemed a bit limited towards A I places i have stayed before but it was no big problem...The location is wonderful, wherever you are you have the most beautiful view of the sea, whilst eating in the restaurant, sunbathing, from our bedroom or from the side of the swimming pool.Star Beach at the side of the hotel is a hive of activity which we found fascinating to while time away watching people bungi jumping, boat rides, para gliding etc, they had a afternoon disco there every day, and i had read that it was a real noisy affair which i disagree with just people enjoying themselves and not an ounce of trouble.. This hotel is mainly full of Dutch people,so if you enjoy meeting fellow Brits then you ll struggle finding any here.

Top Tip:
*Have a walk up to the three villages that are situated on the hill, they are truly divine and you will see more traditional greek life, under subway, turn left head for first bike hire shop just before supermarket, walk through bike shop to steps at back then head right up the hill ,15 min walk to first village, then they all follow on from each other.you wont be dissapointed..
*Please take care on the road outside hotel especially if you have small children, its really busy and a bit chaotic with the scooters, cars and coaches..
