Hersonissos Village is a 4 star hotel situated in the outskirts of Hersonissos, and being on a hill side enjoys a breathtaking view over the Hersonissos bay. As a result of its position the hotel combines the calmness of its location, a near by beach, and the cosmopolitan life of Hersonissos town in a harmonious manner.
Location
Hersonissos Village is located 25km from Heraklion and its airport, 1 km from Hersonissos Centre, and 400m from the beach.
Accommodation
Within our traditional garden lays a Greek village comprised out of 90 bungalows, 59 standard rooms and 11 maisonettes. All rooms are equipped with telephone, hair dryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, safe deposit box, refrigerator, bathroom with bath or shower, terrace or balcony for your comfort. All rooms are furnished and decorated in the Greek traditional style.
Food & Beverage
Our food and beverage program runs at an All Inclusive basis which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and local beverages at the main and snack/pool bar at a daily base and a Greek folklore night every two weeks (May-Sep). Our outlets operate for breakfast from 07.15-09.45 and dinner 18.30-21.00 at our main restaurant which enjoys an astonishing sea view. For lunch our snack bar is open near the pool from 12.30-14.00. For beverages the main bar lounge is open from 18.00-23.00 and around the pool bar from 10.00-18.00.
Activities, Facilities and Entertainment
In the main house of Hersonissos Village Hotel & Bungalows one can find a calm lounge area near the bar, a satellite TV room and an internet corner. Sport activities consist of a tennis table, billiard table, beach volley, mini golf, 8x8 football field, tennis field, basketball pitch. Parking is also available. Greek folklore nights and B.B.Q evenings are held every two weeks, with the participation of local bands and dancing groups.

“ The location was very good, as I enjoy walking. It is about 20 mins to the town, there is a mini bus service from the hotel, once a day. The food was good, although there was not much variety. The all inclusive for house drinks was very limited. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpfull.

My boyfriend and I were pleasantly suprised by the hotel. The room we had was very clean and our balcony had a great view of the sea and the beach. Whilst the rooms are of a more basic standard they are tended to every day and have all the standard items you would need i,e, TV / phone / fridge / aircon e.t.c.. and for the price they are absolutely fine.
The staff were always helpful and really friendly as well, which helped to make our stay really enjoyable overall and the food was plentiful and catered for everyone although for vegetarians there may be quite a lot of repetition!
Not a lot of English people stayed as I think the hotel is driven more in the German / Russian / Polish markets, however this didn't affect our enjoyment of the stay. We booked for a relaxing holiday to be spent by the pool and doing very little else, and we were able to do this well with this accommodation as the pool was always busy but not overrun, and there were lots of free sunbeds even late into the day.
Whilst the town is only a short journey away the hotel is at the top of quite a steep hill so if you miss the free hotel shuttle bus and you don't like walking in the blazing heat then you are a bit stuck!!!
Overall for the money we paid we were very satisfied. To sum up, by English standards this would rate as a 3 star hotel in my eyes, basic but clean and pleasant.

The outlook of the hotel/bungalows was ok. Inside they are pretty basic for the 4*. It has 2 bigger pools and 2 small for children. That comes very handy. The beach is close, just 200m down the hill and is small but very nice.
And that is all what is good in the hotel. I am not really the "in to food" person, but this time, food was the worst I have ever experienced. Not fresh, without the taste, food from cans (sweet corn, peas). There was no toaster, so you could not enjoy the fresh morning toast. You do not have to believe me, but I have had the same breakfast and the same supper for 9 days!!! Only 2 days I have enjoyed something different!
And there was no pudding after the supper for HB guests. Nothing. And I did not want to believe all the reviews I have read.
All in all, not recommended at all!

Wonderfully situated hotel on the hill behind Hersonissos. Fantastic views across the bay with the mountains behind. Just far enough from the main town to be away from the main resort center.
Rooms were a little tired but had character (old site ) and were kept very clean.
Food was resonable for Med standards and never ran short.
The hotel catered mainly for the German and Dutch clients.
Very good swimming pool in great condition.
