Panorama Hotel Chania

“ The hotel was very nice but the room we had was quite small for 3 people. The pool bar was very limited for choice on food/beverages for children. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The view's from the hotel were lovely & i would stay there again.
The animator 'Debs' was definatly a hit with the kids.

“ Top Tip: We found a very good restaurant called 'Lithos' in Chania town, it was close to the sea and the staff were very friendly & the food was very good. We visited the restaurant twice in 1 week.

“ our third visit to Panorama Hotel,Chania.Now owned by LEPTOS Estates who have clearly reduced the hotel's budget.The food was always superb at this hotel and now I would rate as just O.K.
Parts of hotel need a coat of varnish.
Why do they only stock Cretan wine ? For 18 euros you are getting something that makes a £3 bottle from Tesco look like a fine claret.

“ Top Tip: About 3 miles away is Iguana beach.2 sunloungers & umbrella is 6 euros for the day.The
sea is crystal clear and like a warm bath.

“ We stayed at this hotel 5 years ago, that is why we went back, and were not disappointed ,the staff were lovely, the food was very good, hotel, pool area, very clean.We stayed in the Panorama Blue which is worth every one of its 5 stars. Quiet pool, beautiful view across the bay, comfortable rooms, easy internet access, drinks and refreshments through the day, great breakfast area. There is good entertainment if you wanted to take part but you were never put under any pressure if you did not want to. I can honestly say we had a really lovely holiday once again at the Panorama Hotel. I we are already looking into boooking again for next year.

In Chania there are loads of good restaurants but do try Semiramis - lovely Greek food in a wonderful open air setting - its tucked into the old town side streets but a real find.

“ We stayed from 23rd June until 7th July 2010 and it was a most pleasurable experience. The hotel was what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The staff were amenable and friendly. The morning breakfast overlooking the sea started the day well and lunch at the poolside bar was a bonus. A great pity that there were'nt a lot of guests, but I suppose it made the beds more available for sunbathing. The infinity pool terrific. About 5 or 6 restaurants nearby in Kalamaki with sandy beaches, and Bamboo for drinks and watch the sun go down. The whole area is really lovely and is great for a relaxing holiday. Hire a car and tour the island, beware that the coastal roads climb pretty high though and my wife certainly had sweaty palms! Looking forward to returning.

“ Top Tip: We found a great restaurant 10 minutes walk on the right hands side going towards Kalamaki called 'The Eden'. In Chania, the restaurant 'Tholos' and 'The Well In the Turk' both in Old Town. The Well in the Turk is hard to find down the back streets, but well worth it. It doesn't take credit or debit cards though. Don't bother with the taxis, catch the 21 bus directly outside the hotel gates. It takes you right into the terminus in Chania, and on return terminates at the hotel (actually turns round there). The tickets are 1.30 euroes per trip and are sold at reception
