Hotel with its own sandy beach located in the popular resort of Kokkini Hani on the largest of the Greek Islands Crete.
The Mitsis Rinela Beach Resort and Spa is a picturesque hotel comprised of white buildings arranged in an amphitheatre style located on its own sandy beach and 50 m away from local shops, bars, restaurants and the bus stop. It is also situated 2 km away from Crete Aquarium, 2,5 km from Gouves, 1 km from Water-City, 15 km from Heraklion and 12 km from the airport.
The hotel facilities and services include reception, lobby area, TV corner, bridge room, internet corner (with extra charge), business service, indoor theatre with bar, which can be used as a congress room, restaurants, tavern, bar, beach bar, open air disco, outdoor pools with water slides, sun terrace with pool bars, children’s pool, playroom, mini club (4 to 12 years old, 6 days a week), baby sitting service (on request and with extra charge), shopping arcade with mini market, hairdresser (with extra charge) and Spa with indoor pool. The hotel also offers animation program for adults and children and a variety of sports such as tennis courts, table tennis, billiards, pool games, beach volley, pedals, canoes and windsurfing, as well as having with extra charge motorized water sports on the beach and diving centre.

A good holiday, can be better in someways though. Hotel was clean and a nice place to spend our time, which was handy as the resort itself had nothing to offer and was rundown (litter on nearby beaches, derelict buildings). About 60% of staff were really friendly and welcoming, Tv was useless - time to be updated, our room was above the theatre so the disco pounded loud music every night until midnight.
Taverna was lovely, staff very friendly and chefs made you feel welcome. As was the Chinese (if you can get booked in!). Was told the payment for safe in room was a deposit but when it came to checkout it was then a fee instead which was frustrating.
The entertainment - although not necessarily everyone's cup of tea, they make a lot of effort to get people involved, can be a bit too much at times, but they work hard.
All in all this is a good hotel, very busy at times, getting sunbeds or queuing for food, but the week was relaxing and value for money.
“ Top Tip: The 1st bar you get to when turning right out of the hotel (with free wifi also) was a nice place to go for a change of scenery. The lady working there was very friendly and made a lot of effort.

The hotel was in a good location, however I would not wish to return as the food in the restaurant and taverna was the same every night. The Chinese and the near by restaurants provided some much needed change. Also if you do not have children or do not want to be near them, then this is not the hotel for you!
As mentioned it is good location, great for a relaxing week and the staff are helpful and friendly

“ The hotel is suitable for older people who do not have difficulty climbing steps but if you do there are quite a few steps that are not easy if you wish to go down to the pool and the beach area
“ Top Tip: The hotel is at the end of a very small, fairly poor village with many part built and closed down shops and buildings but the food and the entertainment in the actual hotel resort is very good. Staff are all excellent and very friendly. This is the secont time we have been to this hotel and would hope to return again.
