Hotel with its own sandy beach located in the popular resort of Kokkini Hani on the largest of the Greek Islands Crete.
The Mitsis Rinela Beach Resort and Spa is a picturesque hotel comprised of white buildings arranged in an amphitheatre style located on its own sandy beach and 50 m away from local shops, bars, restaurants and the bus stop. It is also situated 2 km away from Crete Aquarium, 2,5 km from Gouves, 1 km from Water-City, 15 km from Heraklion and 12 km from the airport.
The hotel facilities and services include reception, lobby area, TV corner, bridge room, internet corner (with extra charge), business service, indoor theatre with bar, which can be used as a congress room, restaurants, tavern, bar, beach bar, open air disco, outdoor pools with water slides, sun terrace with pool bars, children’s pool, playroom, mini club (4 to 12 years old, 6 days a week), baby sitting service (on request and with extra charge), shopping arcade with mini market, hairdresser (with extra charge) and Spa with indoor pool. The hotel also offers animation program for adults and children and a variety of sports such as tennis courts, table tennis, billiards, pool games, beach volley, pedals, canoes and windsurfing, as well as having with extra charge motorized water sports on the beach and diving centre.
The rooms are equipped with A/C, direct telephone line, TV, radio, mini bar, safe (with extra charge), balcony or terrace and bathroom with bathtub/shower and hair dryer. Dry cleaning and laundry service are available (with extra charge).

“ We have just come back from staying for four nights at this hotel and have to say we were disappointed. We have a 1 year old child and although this looked a family friendly resort there are so many steps that its impossible to manoeuvre a pushchair around and we had to carry it up and down numerous steps. The main entrance has been redecorated and looks very chic when you arrive. Our room however was dated to the bathroom especially where filler had been applied to the bath in a number of places and was rough to touch. We were also situated in a dip where we had other accommodation to the front of us and it was exceptionally dark. The food hall is vast and you are rallied in and out of it. The food although a good selection was average on the whole and i had a stomach upset for two days whilst there and could hardly eat. The all inclusive spirits also taste nothing like ours and are difficult to drink due to taste. The chinese retaurant that you can book into has restricted numbers and if you do not book 8.30am at reception you do not get in. The view to the beach is lovely and there is a lovely sandy bay. The pools are not heated and were obviously really cold as October, but I am sure would be fine in Summer. The entertainment was dire and consisted either of customers performing Karaoke or customers dressing in drag and performing !!!!....The area has lots of other bars/cafes although there are a lot of buildings half complete and abandoned and this certainly wasn't the prettiest place in Greece we have ever been to.....All in all have to say would never go back...

“ Very impressed with this hotel, from the welcome on arrival to leaving. Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent accommodation, fantastic food there is something for every palate it would be very difficult to find anything negative about the food (loved the personal attention in the taverna and the chinese was good fun with the children). This hotel is on the beach so everything you could want including shops and a bus stop are right at hand. The only reason i have said not for the older person is due to the number of steps around the complex but if the older people are fit and well then this wouldn't be a problem. This is the second mitsi hotel we have visited and we weren't disappointed in fact some aspects were better than the first one we stayed at - go and enjoy, looking forward to trying some of the other hotels in the chain around Greece. Oh and airport only 10 mins by bus away what could be better!

This beach hotel has a 24-hour reception desk, an indoor bar, a lounge with satellite TV, fireplace, mini-market, as well as a conference room capable of accommodating up to 50 persons. There is a large lawn area, as well as both a kids' club and a children's playground offering safe haven at playtime for younger guests. The hotel has 170 rooms in total. All rooms in the main building were renovated over winter 2006/2007. It is air-conditioned and has a lobby, a safe, cloakroom, currency exchange facility and lift access. Dining facilities also feature. Internet access is offered (subject to fees).
“ A clean and efficient hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The twin rooms are a little basic for 4* but quite comfortable. It was nice to have a working fridge, balcony and air conditioning! The pool area is generally in quite good condition although a few of the sun loungers had broken struts - and they have to be claimed well before 9am.

This comfortable, fully renovated hotel has 311 rooms, distributed around 2 main buildings, as well as terraced bungalows. There is also a lobby with reception, a lounge, lifts, a lobby bar, a TV room, a boutique, a jewellery shop, a small shop, an air-conditioned restaurant, an e la carte restaurant, a beach bar, a tropical beach bar, an oriental lounge bar, a theatre stage bar, a conference centre, business centre facilities and a fully equipped medical centre. There is also a playground and a kids' club for younger guests.
“ This is an excellent hotel, we had originally booked 1 week but enjoyed it so much we booked an extra week (cheapest deal through travel republic!) It is a beautifully designed complex, we stayed in the village side across the road rather than the hotel and we found it to be very quiet.
