Hotel with its own sandy beach located in the popular resort of Kokkini Hani on the largest of the Greek Islands Crete.
The Mitsis Rinela Beach Resort and Spa is a picturesque hotel comprised of white buildings arranged in an amphitheatre style located on its own sandy beach and 50 m away from local shops, bars, restaurants and the bus stop. It is also situated 2 km away from Crete Aquarium, 2,5 km from Gouves, 1 km from Water-City, 15 km from Heraklion and 12 km from the airport.
The hotel facilities and services include reception, lobby area, TV corner, bridge room, internet corner (with extra charge), business service, indoor theatre with bar, which can be used as a congress room, restaurants, tavern, bar, beach bar, open air disco, outdoor pools with water slides, sun terrace with pool bars, children’s pool, playroom, mini club (4 to 12 years old, 6 days a week), baby sitting service (on request and with extra charge), shopping arcade with mini market, hairdresser (with extra charge) and Spa with indoor pool. The hotel also offers animation program for adults and children and a variety of sports such as tennis courts, table tennis, billiards, pool games, beach volley, pedals, canoes and windsurfing, as well as having with extra charge motorized water sports on the beach and diving centre.
The rooms are equipped with A/C, direct telephone line, TV, radio, mini bar, safe (with extra charge), balcony or terrace and bathroom with bathtub/shower and hair dryer. Dry cleaning and laundry service are available (with extra charge).

“ Top Tip: There are plenty of supermarkets (specially a spar that is also used by locals so you know it shouldn't be overpriced) and is easy to get to Heraklion by bus (keep the ticket to show where you going for the come back)

“ A fantastic holiday, hotel very clean and well managed. All the staff very friendly. Food was also good, main restaurant was buffet style but there is a seperate Chinese and a Taverna that you can book if you want something different. A great animation crew who work very hard to produce good entertainment. Looking forward to returning at some point

This is our second visit to the Rinela Beach Hotel we had a wonderfull time last year and decided to make a return. We both are into our late sixties and this Hotel caters for all ages. This year we went in the middle of May and made a request with Travel Republic for one of the bungalows and we had a beautiful end one with a sunny terrace. The mini bar was stocked up every two days in fact there was hardly anything we could fault.
A couple of things which maybe some people might think petty was that hotel allowed men into the restaurant for their evening meal wearing shorts just past the knee, it just happens that they pull their shorts down to below the knee to get past the manager and then pull them back up. Also you have to pay for wifi this year to get a good signal although you can get through sometimes get on the weaker one which is free.
As regards Travel Republic I cannot fault the arrangments which they made for us and the plain and simple booking in system.
The staff at the Rinela Beach were always very helpfull and only to willing to help you in any way they could. The entertainment team seem to mix more with the younger generation but on a number of times they find the time to come and sit with you and have good conversation about your holiday.
We fully recommed this Hotel and if any body wants to come back to me for advice please do so.
“ Top Tip: There is no need to go outside the Hotel as everything is catered for. I would recommend a walk into the village and also along the sea front as the cool breeze from the sea is very refreshing on a hot day.

“ Absolutely loved our stay here. Food was excellent, plentiful and varied. Great beachfront location. We stayed here at the beginning of May and there were plenty of sunbeds on the beach but there could be a scramble in peak season. That said there are four swimming pools to lounge around if that is your thing. The staff are all helpful and friendly without invading your space. Rooms were clean, tidy and pefectly nice. A great touch was the free mini bar in your room, free aircon and no deposit required for TV button. We paid a really reasonable price for this holiday and could not have had a nicer break. Travel republic were great, as usual. We have travelled with them for years and have never had any problems of any kind.Our highlight was a drive across to the South of the island across the mountains (stunning views) and vertical drops to the most wonderful little cove called Agios Pavlos. The drive down is not for the faint hearted but will blow your mind.
