“ This was our 10th stay at Sunny Suites, that should say it all. The rooms are quite simple but there is everything that you need, air conditioning, a safe, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, fridge etc. The apartments are spotless, maid service is excellent, the pool is clean and the beer is cold.

The apartments are an excellent choice for families and couples who want to relax, have fun and explore the beautiful island of Crete. Offering a total of 17 accommodation units, this establishment welcomes guests in the lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Amenities include a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, WLAN Internet access, a car park and bicycle hire service. For an additional fee, guests may make use of the laundry service.
The apartments are located in the historic village of Maleme in Chania, Crete. The long shingle beach is 200 m away and is accessed via the main road which runs by the apartments. The centre of the village is just 200 m away, where shops, bars and some of the best restaurants in the Chania prefecture are situated. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful nature, the long sandy beaches and wild White Mountains with their spectacular gorges. Links to the public transport network can be found right on the hotel's doorstep.
The 1-bedroom apartments are furnished in traditional style and suitable for up to 4 guests. The en suite bathrooms have a bathtub and a hairdryer. The accommodation units are equipped with a direct dial telephone, TV, Internet access, safe, kitchenette, fridge and ironing set. Individually regulated air conditioning and heating ensure guests' comfort and a balcony or terrace are also provided in the apartments.
The residence features an outdoor swimming pool with a children's swimming area and a poolside snack bar. The sun loungers with parasols and the hot tub provide guests with pure relaxation. Guests may also hire sun loungers and parasols on the beach. Hersonissos golf course is around 200 km away.

Manos the owner is fantastic, anything you need, just ask. Nothing is too much trouble. The area of Meleme is reasonably quiet, but there is a good selection of superb restaurants within a five minuits walk of sunny suites. All in all, our little piece of Heaven on Earth. Looking forward to our next Holiday there, can't wait.
“ Top Tip: Within a few minutes walk of Sunny Suites, down by the sea, you will find some superb restaurants. At the 'Meleme Imperial' and 'The Wave' the food is outstanding, the service is second to none, and is reasonably priced. As you sit outside in the warm night air, by the beach in a friendly relaxed atmosphere, eating your meal, watch the beautifull evening sunset.

“ Top Tip: The Imperial Hotel for a special meal,the Black Lantern for good and varied menu,a trip to Sfinari for fresh fish.

“ Located about 150 mtrs from beach and restaurants. Hotel was very pleasant, although a bit dated. It could do with newer furniture etc. The pool area/bar although small, was very nice, but if you can't swim you won't use the pool as it is 3 metres deep all round. Manas who runs the place was the most genial host you could wish for--very helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble. Cleaner was also very nice. One real downside is that it is located right on the busy main road, so there is lots of traffic noise when relaxing around the pool. I have ticked the box not suitable for older people only because there is no lift.Otherwise, no problem. Would return in the future.

Although we booked to stay in Sunny Suites the owner, Manos offered us the choice of the Sunny Suite apartment or an apartment or a studio in their other hotel, the 4 star Maleme Imperial as there were no other guests in Sunny Suites for the week.
Although the room at Suuny Suite was very good, clean and spacious we chose the Imperial.
The Imperial was fantastic, the owners and all the staff were friendly, efficient and entertaining. The restaurant there was very good.
