The staff at Hotel Neon were all very welcoming and friendly, throughout our stay they always stopped to say hello and ask how we were. The hotel itself is basic but very clean. The breakfast served was fine as well with a selection of cereals, bread meat, cheese and fresh fruit and juice and tea or coffee. The bedrooms contain a fridge which is brilliant and we made lunches for ourselves by keeping salad stuff in the fridge. The pool is clean and you can also use the pool at the hotel next door. The best part about Hotel Neon is the location, right on the beach and next to the bars and restuarants of Stalis.
If you don't go expecting the Ritz then this hotel is a brilliant cost-effective place to stay in a brilliant location.
“ Top Tip: Camelot resturant 5 mins walk towards Malia from the hotel is great for a relaxed meal, good for veggies and meat-eaters alike.

“ Typical Greek Hotel, basic but clean. Breakfast is plentiful. The best selling point for the hotel is its location. On the beach road, with access to the beach from the swimming pool area. The main problem with regard to this hotel is the manner of the management. They can be quite unfriendly for want of a better word and one of them intimidating if things are not going totally his way. This was our 6th visit to the hotel and we have never encountered any problems with the management, in fact we have a very good relationship with them. However we have read certain reports about the hotel, and are unable to dispute the critisisms aired on various holiday review boards.

“ Hotel was clean and basic. Breakfast was not that great, choice was quite poor. Bed were too hard and had to pay for the air conditioning. Overall, the staff kept themselves to themselves. Pool was clean and hotel 2 min from the beach. Will not give this hotel 3 star, but more 1 to 2 star.
“ Top Tip: La Fontana Restaurant accross the hotel was wonderful, great food, fantastic staff, especially Judy! (english lady married to the owner of the restaurant) Great Bar Africa, lovely staff..Great restaurants along Stalis, lovely people, really enjoyed it and very clean beach and clear water! we had hot weather all week long!

THIS HOTEL IS A BIT RUN DOWN, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
ON OUR FIRST NIOGHT OUT IN STALAS WE GOT BACK TO THE HOTEL LATE TO IT HAD BEEN LOCKED UP BUT WE GOT IN THROUGH A DOOR THAT HAD BEEN LEFT OPEN.
WHEN I SPOKE WITH MANAGER THENEXT MORNING HE SAID YOU MUST LEAVE YOUR KEYS IF YOU ARE GOING OUT LATE WHICH WE DID BUT STILL IT WAS LOCKED
“ Top Tip: THE FOOD ON THIS ISLAND CAN NOT BE BEAT IN ALL THE RESTAURANTS WE WENT TO CAFE GRECO WAS THE BEST RIGHT ON THE BEACH

“ I have stayed in this hotel before and find it very comfortable and the staff are very friendly would recommend this to all ages.
“ Top Tip: The hotel is on the beach and I found a very cheap restaurant on the way into marlia full b/fast for 2.90 very cheap compaired to some of the local eatins.
