We paid next to nothing for this place but the service was great courtesy of the lovely manageress. You just have to show her a little respect (i.e. don't scream the place down in the middle of the night) and it will go a long way.
Also, the hotel booking included free transfers to/from the hotel/airport! Great stuff!

Although the conditions of the hotel were not of a high standard, basic accomodation was exactly what we were looking for. The 2 Star rating fairly represents the hotel. Myself and 3 friends stayed in the apartments and fully enjoyed our holiday. Although we did not realise that Stallis is actually a 20-30 minute walk from Malia's strip, we were able to rent quad bikes out at a discount price from the apartments own rental service.

Top Tip:
Rent quadbikes, spend your days at either Bikini Beach or Hotel Aeolos and spend the nights on the strip.
The booze crusie and waterpark are both rubbish.

“ The first and only problem with the sterling apartments is that there are two in malia, one on the strip and one by alexander beach. Thankfully we found out when we got there that we were at the one at alexander beach. We were about 20 minutes from the strip which was perfect. We were a minute from the beach also perfect. Was a basic hotel, with a simple pool. But was prefect for what we were looking for.

“ I went the 3rd week of May and the pool of the hotel was not filled therefore had to go to beach every day. Hotel was very basic which is fine if you don't intend to spend alot of time there. It is about 1.5km walk to the main pubs in Malia which is fine during the day but not so good at night when it is dark unless you have a quad bike which are for rent every where on the island.
“ Top Tip: Hire a quad bike or scooter if you want ease of getting back to hotel at night from main night life area of Malia.

Real Palace is a beautiful, newly built hotel on the outskirts of Malia Old Village, all enclosed with traditionally built Greek walls. The views from this hotel are magnificent over looking both the mountains and the sea. The Bar area has its own terrace with comfortable chairs and tables for guests to relax in during the day or the night and large TV showing sports. Also there is an eating area where guests can sample the delights of the menu. The rooms are clean and spacious and have either 2 or 3 beds, kitchenette, bathroom and either balcony or terrace with views over the sea or the pool. The front of the hotel is terraced with a large swimming pool, Jacuzzi and fountain. Around the pool there are sun beds and sun umbrellas and plenty of lush green grass, for fun and games. The apartments are suitable for singles, couples and small groups of friends looking for good value accommodation in a quieter area of Malia but within walking distance of the lively bar and club area.

A small complex, Gemini Apartments offer comfortable accommodation with a friendly atmosphere. Situated between Stalis and Malia on the beach road approximately 15 minutes walk from both resorts and just 50 metres from the beach and the sea.

This is a fun hotel, where you can come to the bar anytime. They are always up for a laugh. Heraklion Airport is 34 km from the hotel. Local Tips: Guests to the Happy Days Studios can discover marvellous beaches and sleepy villages along with a wide array of shops, restaurants, traditional tavernas and 'ouzerias', as well as lively nightlife and attractions in Malia and nearby Hersonissos town.
“ The hotel was near the village shops and main strip which was convenient. The rooms were basic but fine to sleep in. Unfortunately, the hotel rooms weren't cleaned for six days. The hotel staff where horrible and took money at every opportunity. Won't go in to too much detail, as I'm trying not to be too 'personal', but will never stay there again.
