Renovated in 2005, this apartment complex includes 3 floors and 16 lodgings including 9 apartments and 7 studios. As well as a lobby area with a 24-hour reception, the hotel comprises a games room, a TV and lounge room. On payment of an additional fee, medical services are also available. Younger guests may let off steam in the playground. Car parking facilities are additionally available.

Plus Points:
Very Clean and modernised complex
Hosts Manos and Vasillis very helpful and hospitable.
Nice view of the garden and the mountains from the back.
Really nice and well equipped pool area.
TV in every room with above average reception although no remote control (Not a huge problem though)
A shower that really worked!
Minus Points:
Limited internet reception now at extra cost.
No landline making communication to home quite remote as mobile receception very patchy on all tarifs.
Was told that the latter was sadly a result of Greek government restraints so proberbly out of the owners control.
We had a week of continuous rain but our hosts still made the visit worthwhile as they make you feel very welcome.

Myself and my partner were blessed with a wonderful time at Marigianna. Manos welcomed us like we were family, and together with his son Vasillis, worked so hard to ensure our stay was perfect. Thank you so much!
The newly refurbished apartment was beautiful, clean and smart and the maid worked hard to keep it clean and fresh every day.
The pool area was the best in Sissi, and the daily freshly squeezed orange juice at the swim-up bar was divine.
Roll on next year. We can't WAIT to return xxx
“ Top Tip: Sissi is a magical, relaxed, peaceful fishing village with beautiful sunsets and the locals are friendly and welcoming. The food in the tavernas is just delicious, especially Neromilos (Waterwheel), and Mike's organic home-grown food is gorgeous.

“ Just back today, really enjoyed ourselves. The apartment was recently refurbished and clean and smart. The owner and his son were helpful and friendly. Plenty to do in Sissi, lots of good places to eat and watch the harbour at night.
“ Top Tip: If you hire a car take the main highway and take the Sissi turn but then turn again at the sign for Meli Palace hotel, otherwise very easy to get lost and on the wrong side of the harbour.

“ Fabulous holiday, family run hotel, quiet area but close to tavernas and entertainment. All rooms refurbished this year. Great for families as well as singles or couples. Manos and Billy make you feel very welcome. Lovely circular bar, partly set in the swimming pool. Cannot fault the hotel it in any way. Will definitely book next year. Incredible value for money.

Top Tip:
The Golf Bar on the sea front has crazy golf, games, small playground and a lovely atmosphere. Family run by Manos and Tina. Delightfuly couple.
However, a word of warning re Knossos supermarket in Sissi. We were verbally attacked and sworn at by the owners because we dared to take another supermarket carrier bag into their shop. It was a very frightening experience. Even though they were Greek they knew all the unspeakable English swear words. It is the only time we have encountered Greek people to behave in this manner. All because of a plastic carrier bag. There is another supermarket further up the road, which is also cheaper.

“ We had a 1 bedroom self-catered room with view on the sea. The kitchen/livingroom area had a bed which could sleep an extra 2. We are a family with a 1 and 4 year old. The Apartments are about a 20 minute walk from the centre of town.

The Palm Bay Hotel is located 700 m from the sandy beach in the village of Sissi, a quiet resort on the northern coast of the island paradise of Crete. This charming 3 Star hotel offers warm hospitality and is great for couples and families with spacious rooms offering a nice base from which to discover marvellous beaches and sleepy villages along with a wide array of shops, restaurants, traditional tavernas, lively nightlife and attractions in nearby Malia (5 km). Heraklion Airport is 40 km from the hotel. Local Tips: Sissi is a quiet resort with clean beaches and traditional village taverns overlooking the harbour and the sea. The nearest bus stop is only 200 m away, giving access to a flexible and quite efficient transportation system for outings to other nearby centres.
“ being the end of season food was not very exciting. left overs from previous meals were used quite a lot. However the standard of cleaning and service was excellent. The downstairs rooms are very dark with all the plants around but this will be a plus in the summer months.

“ These apartments deserve their relatively good grading. The rooms are simply furnished by spacious. I was offered a choice of two ground floor apartments on arrival which is always a nice touch.
