“ Small family run hotel, great for couples and families. Lunch and evening meals served at beach resturant not in hotel, but only a short stroll from the hotel. Rooms very clean but basic. Staff make this hotel worth wanting to returning too. Nothing was too much trouble. If your looking for a quiet relaxing holiday then this is the hotel for you.

My partner and I have just arrived back from a weeks all inclusive. Idid loads of research before booking and overall was very pleased with hotel. The hotel itself is separate from the beach front restaurant. It's a five min stroll along a dusty road. It is in an absolutely beautiful setting, overlooking a private strip of beach with sunbeds at 6euro for two. The sunsets are amazing. Apart from sat night there is no entertainment but we went for a quite week relaxing so it suited us fine. A 5 min bus journey takes you into the much livelier Platanes.
The hotel is of a high standard, with clean rooms and spotless quite pool area. The cleaners came twice but didn't change the bedding but changed the towels twice. We had a lovely twin room with balcony overlooking the pool and the sea in the distance.
There were no cooked breakfasts but plenty of choice.
The owners Demitri and Eve are really lovely people who fall over themselves to help, their son and his friend who work at all times are friendly, helpful, and very easy on the eye!!! We came away feeling like we'd made new friends.
The main drawback for us was the all inclusive lunches and dinners. It was very much an eat what your given set up
Rather than having any real choices. The quality of food varied from a couple of really lovely home cooked dishes to packet soups and cold food, of very small portions. Although there was always seconds available and plenty of bread, lovely Greek salad and melon in abundance. However, the location, wonderful staff and value for money made up for this one let down. However it's the first year of all inclusive so they are still finding their feet I suspect.
We will definitely return but chose a different board basis and choose to eat from the public menu and eat out more.

“ We had a excelllent holiday. We stayed at the Astrid Hotel. As there was not a lot of guests staying the time we stayed they were unable to put on any entertainment, but Demetris the manager took us out 2 days to make up for it. The apartments were very clean so was the pool and the pool area. The food was to a excellent standard and would recommend people go half board when staying other than self catering as we did and found not many other restuarants around to go to other than catching a bus or taxi. The private beach is about 5-10mins walk away, beach it self is lovely just need someone their to sell food and drink etc (this should be happening next season 09). All in all myself, husband and 3 children (12, 10, 8) had a lovely holiday and will be returning to the Astrid....
