“ Have stayed at the Brascos on previous visits to Rethymnon stays have always been very enjoyable, staff always very helpful. This time round we were on the 1st floor which didn't have a balcony, asked for change and this was handled within 24 hrs when an alternative room became available.
Don't expect luxury, remember how much you are paying, but the hotel is always clean, staff efficient and helpful.
Very central to all restaurants,nightlife but at same time quiet and reserved.
Roof garden is well worth a visit the views of the old town and the fortezza and very impressive.

“ The Brascos Hotel is a typical Greek 3* - fairly basic, but rooms are clean & the service is friendly. Bathroom is the usual "wet room". It is in a convenient location, close to the bus station, on the edge of the Old Town and shops, and about 10 minutes walk to the main beach areas. There is a nice rooftop bar which is a great spot for sunset drinks. In addition to Internet, there is free WiFi which was sporadically accessible in our 2nd floor room. One downside of the central location is the basketball courts opposite which create a lot of noise (not, fortunately late into the night). Also, whilst there is a swimming pool, it is small & squeezed into a basement space alongside the road, & is not really suitable for relaxation. At the price it was good value & I would be happy to stay there again.

“ Top Tip: The harbour is scenic but the fish restaurants are overpriced & eating here once is quite enough - especially in view of the constant hassle. Also, avoid the restaurants which display tour company commendations - you won't get proper Greek food here. Instead, try the tavernas in the winding backstreets of the old town.

“ A pleasant, centrally situated hotel. Basic accommodation, but clean and serviced every day. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast (continental) had a wide choice of items, and was well presented. There was a tv and fridge in every room and the air conditioning worked efficiently - which was badly needed when I stayed towards the end of July - temp hit 40c on a couple of occasions!

The rooftop bar had a magnificient view of the town and fort and the bar staff were efficient and friendly. Say hello to Elena from Roy!

I woul recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again if I return to Crete
