“ The Studio Room was very clean but quite basic but had everything we needed.
The ensuite bathroom again was quite basic and the bath was very small. It was really only meant for you to sit in under the shower head. There was a raised seat incorporated into the bath which made the standing platform approx 18 X 18 inches and it was awkward to shower under the very low fixed shower head. Hence the raised seat in the bath for sitting with the shower in your hand. Not suitable for tall people. The maid attended every day and was very helpful. She brought us a kettle and a coffee machine when we asked for something to make a hot drink with. There was a hairdryer, TV, Radio & CD Player, 2 ring electric hob, basic cooking pans, crockery & cutlery for two place settings. There was a very good selection for breakfast in the hotel and an adequate hot buffet meal in the evening if you wanted to dine in. The bar meals were excellent. The staff from management to bar staff and maid service were very polite and very cooperative. Towels were provided to use at the pool but you would need your own towels to take to the beach. Wi-Fi is available by purchasing a pass which costs 5 euro for 1hr and 30 euro for 24 hrs. Remember to logoff or switch your WI-Fi connection off after each session. On that basis a 24hr access pass should be sufficient to check your emails and browse the internet daily.

“ Top Tip: There are plenty of eating places near the harbour within easy walking distance. Try the specials at Mamma Mia on sea front. A special for two with a Greek salad and bottle of house wine costs 20 euro (Chicken) and 30 euro (Shrimps). There is a typical Greek Taverna about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. You need to turn left out of the hotel and then left at the T junction passed the school on your left. Carry on up that road (opposite direction from the sea front) for about 5 minutes pass the first Taverna on your right and carry on around the bend to the next Taverna on your right. Three course Greek meal with 1 litre of local wine for two cost us 28 euro. The first course and dessert is complimentary and chosen by the hostess. There is a dentist on call via his mobile approx 15 mins walk away and his charges are very similar to NHS dental rates.

Anyone wanting excursions should avoid the East Crete excursion on a Sunday. The outstanding panoramic mountain view is a toilet stop, photography is not permitted at the Monestary, the stop at the beach is not spectacular and the final stop for "shopping" is very disappointing because the shops are closed in that part of Crete on a Sunday.

“ Great hotel, clean and tidy. Staff very friendly. The only disapointment was the shower facility, hand held, and not very user friendly.

“ We staid there 2 weeks. Hotel is nice located in quite location. There is no noisy pubs or restaurants in Sissi - village. If you want rest from noise it is place for you. But I would recommend rent a car , because after couple of days you will be bored.
Good points:
-Quality of food in the buffet (look bad points)
-Spacious room
-nice swimming pool with umbrellas and sun beds
-Quite area
- very clean and tidy rooms, sometimes housekeeper comes twice

Bad points:
-After couple of days we were completely bored with food ( half board) Day by day the same tasty but the same... 14 days like that it is to much. Not enough local food and sea food - disappointing
-they switch off air conditioning after 10pm - We had problem with sleeping because of temperature in the room.
-Very small bathroom. With really not comfortable and dangerous shower-bath tray (was very small , curved ,high, hard to step in , step out plus stand in when you take shower. And we are young and quite sporty.
When someone smoking on the terrace immediately you know it in the room. Special when all windows are open (air conditioning not work)

Mostly we recomand for older people. Someone with car, people who want eat outside. Overall ok.

“ A lovely clean, comfortable and welcoming hotel with a great pool.
Food was varied and tasty and staff were delightfully helpful.

Would certainly recommend to couples and families.
Perhaps a little too quiet for 18-25 age group but a short bus trip to Malia would accomodate those wanting lively clubs and bars.
