Both types of rooms are fully equipped, with air-conditioning (local charge), satellite television, music via television, direct-dial phone, hairdryer and safety box (local charge). There are also cooking facilities and a refrigerator, balcony or terrace. FeaturesGuests in our hotel have the opportunity to try the most outstanding local cuisine and of course international dishes. The Main Restaurant Athina offers breakfast in buffet style. Dinner buffet with traditional Cretan - Greek and International cuisine. The Taverna - Snack bar Delfi next to the main pool offers during the day a large selection of Snacks and a variety of Greek and International dishes for lunch. The Main bar Dionysos in the central pool area offers exciting cocktails and beverages in a cozy atmosphere. The Pool bar Alexandros (May - September) located next to the sea, operates morning till midnight offering refreshing drinks and cocktails, ice cream and snacks by its wet pool. During the week our guests have the opportunity to enjoy themselves with special evenings such as BBQ, Greek night, Beer & Wine festival etc. with live music and dancing at an extra charge by the pool. Dress Code: Guests are kindly requested to be dressed appropriately for dinner. In all outdoor theme buffets a smart - casual dress is recommended. ActivitiesCastello Village is a Bungalow-Apartments complex with a relaxing atmosphere for enjoyment and carefree holidays in the ideal environment. It desposes of spacious outdoor pools (two fresh water), children pool (fresh water), showers, volley ball field, umbrellas and deck chairs by the pool free of charge, sandy beach in 350m. In 500 m distance a wide choice of water sports such as scuba-ping, water ski, paragliding, windsurfing, jet ski, banana, ringos, sailing pedals, canoes, hobby cat Animation: (Apr-October). A multilingual animation team offers fun from morning to evening organizing day activities and night entertainment and special evenings with live music and dancing by the pool. Morning activities: gymnastics, aerobics, water aerobics, table-tennis, waterball, watersports, etc. Evening activities: show-programs, dance and other group games, etc. Miscellaneous sports & games: Fitness center Iraklis with sauna and massage (by appointment, local charge), daytime sports animation, table tennis, darts, billiards (local charge). “ Hotel was really a glorified apartment, do not know how it was graded 4 stars. Having said that it was very clean staff very helpful food very good. It just lacked a few basic amenities. Pool areas very small rooms very basic.

“ We found the hotel very clean and well placed in terms of Sissi centre. We did find the first room we were put in close to the pumps for the pool (noisey) so we asked to be moved which we did with no fuss and great help from the staff particularly on reception. We only had breakfast in the hotel and found the food t what was served was very good (fried eggs when available were good) particularly the fresh fruit.
“ Top Tip: the restaurants overlooking the see are OK but very touristy. There is one restaurant down by the water in the harbour whose fried octopus was excellent. For good quality greek cooking try Anatoli Pizzeria 50 yds from the hotel towards the centre - best Stifado ever tasted and the white haired chap who runs it is very friendly. If you take a 10 minute walk on the road going out of Sissi towards the main road you will find a small restaurant called Liofito. Food again was excellent with daily dishes not shown on the menu and owners made you very welcome. Once we found these two we didnt eat out anywhere else in the evening. The Bulldog Bar (despite the name not english) on the seafront served great cocktails. Catch the local bus to Aghios Nicholios and Elounda - very cheap!

“ We have been 8 Times and every time we are impressed with the warmth and helpfulness of all the staff. Its like Home !!! They put themselves out to try to help and always with a smile. The only reason for not thinking it is good for elderly people is the hotel is on a slope towards the sea and also has many steps.The food is fine if you eat in but there many Taverna's worth a visit within walking distance. Our favourite Pool Bar is Alexandros where Angelloss & Korina will look after you with many smiles.
“ Top Tip: For real Greek Food try Neromilos its just a quick walk out of Sissi but sitting under Orange Trees eating fantastic food is worth the short walk. For evening drinks try Hemmingway with Alan & Irene and the Mini Golf Bar with Tina. Pyrimid Taverna is worth a visit say Hi to Hassan

“ This is nice little complex, near the beach and only a short stroll from restaurants and bars in Sissi. Staff were friendly, and place was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was disappointing compared to our expectations, but I would say all in all good value for money.
“ Top Tip: The Neromilos family taverna about 15 mins walk up the main street away from town was excellent - traditional Greek food at its best, great service and much better value than some of the restaurants on the beach.

Miramare Resort Hotel is an attractive hotel, bungalow and Luxury Villas complex in Eastern Crete. It is situated in a magnificent and peaceful location just above the sea front, with a startling view of the picturesque town of Aghios Nikolaos and the Mirabello Bay between two fully organized beaches offering full facilities and a large variety of sea sports. The hotel is built in traditional island architecture supporting the conservation of Cretan nature, with low buildings, all of which are generously spacious for your relaxation and enjoyment. It consists of 234 rooms.
“ all in all a great place, AI was quite good but got a little boring, plenty of fresh salads, fish and meat dishes. October meant the hotel was quite quiet which was good for us. Everything very clean, pools are good, and no problem being served at the bar, very few Brits.

“ I used it for a short stay after a late arrival at Heraklion Airport. The staff were very welcoming even late at night. As on a previous occasion the rooms were spotlessly clean and just as described. It was a good value stop over hotel . i did not use it but is on the direct bus route to the airport.

The Maritimo Hotel in Sissi is situated between Heraklion and Lasithi (Crete), right on the stunning beach at a location renowned for its mild weather. Only 100 metres away lies the pictureque and natural harbour of Sissi, a charming fishing village full of local character. This medium size hotel offers a lovely family atmosphere with a great personal service and a lovely pool area. The hotel is set in pretty gardens full of colour and lush planting creating a relaxed environment for a value for money, family holiday on this island. Getting to the hotel: 45 km east of the international airport of Heraklion (HER). Local Tips: To the west are the tourist resorts of Hersonissos and Malia with their archaelogical sites, while to the east, there are the popular resorts of Agios Nikolaos, Elounda and the island of Spinalonga.
