“ being the end of season food was not very exciting. left overs from previous meals were used quite a lot. However the standard of cleaning and service was excellent. The downstairs rooms are very dark with all the plants around but this will be a plus in the summer months. The layout is spectacular and rooms have a fridge and payable aircon. Lovely bathroom with bath and hand held shower.Even at the end of season , sheets and towels are pristene white.Plenty of car hire here as from Sissi village there are only 2 bus's out at 9am going in opposite directions and coming back at 5pm. Lovely walk to the high road where a better selection of bus available.Hotel is quite disabled friendly. I shall definately return to Palm Bay hotel. A very relaxing place to be with wonderful staff.
“ Top Tip: take a kettle . Drinks run expensive but food is reasonable.you need those rubber shoes for some of the beaches .Dont for your camera, amazing views.Water is not drinkable but very cheap at supermarkets.

“ The Palm Bay Hotel is in very pretty gardens with lots of hammocks to sit in.The rooms were comfortable and spacious and cleaned every day. The food was varied and plentiful for both the breakfast and evening meals. There was tea, coffee and fruit juice with breakfast but no drinks at all with the evening meal and I do think they could have put out some jugs of water at the very least. If you wanted drinks you had to buy them. There was always someone on reception to answer any questions and the staff were always pleasant and helpful.
“
Top Tip:
There are some nice little cafes along the harbour wall for lunchtime snacks!
Walk to the village centre in Ano Sissi nice traditional taverna there.
Also take a travel kettle (and mugs ) to make hot drinks in your hotel room. There is fridge in the room to keep cold drinks , milk etc in.

“
The hotel gardens were fantastic exactly like photo's and descriptions seen on the website. The swinging hammocks were great fun and different.
The room was lovely as was the balcony. 10/10
The only downside was the food or lack of choice. Melon every single night and one choice of dessert which you had no idea what it was. (Shame I don't like melon)
Also no one to serve you or tell you what it was. 3/10
The biggest dissappointment was no drink at all with dinner. You had to buy from the bar.Which gets expensive. Even tea or coffee would have been better than nothing. 0/10
“
Top Tip:
Buy beer from the supermarket only 1 euro a bottle.
bar at 3.50 euro's for beer and 4 euro's for orange juice

“ Nice hotel, breakfast was basic but adequate. Some staff were not exactly friendly! Room was nice. Ideal location for Sissi village which was lovely. Pool area was largely shaded by palm trees so sun worshippers had to fight for sunny spots! Would stay there again.
“ Top Tip: Hemingways bar had nice atmosphere. Most restaurants were worth going to. really nice food. Village was lovely, not too large but plenty to keep you occupied. Would be wary of booking organised trip to spiralonga as we only got half an hour on the island.

“
The hotel room was a good size, fairly basic but more than adequate with a bathroom complete with bath with a shower. It was cleaned every day and sheets and towels changed regularly. The balcony was shady in the afternoon and a pleasure to return to after a day on the beach. Breakfast was good, a buffet including both hot and cold choices.
There is a safe in the room at a cost of 1 euro per day and air conditioning at 5 euros per day. We had a late flight and paid 20 euros to keep the room on until we left,
The grounds of the hotel were lovely with palm trees, bougenvillia and fruit trees which made it nice and shady. There are some hammock type chairs in the grounds, ideal for relaxing and reading a book or sitting with a drink.
There is a pool with sunbeds which because of the palm trees is not in full sun all day.
There is a small beach close to the hotel and a larger one (Boufos Bay) about 20-25 minutes walk away.
“
Top Tip:
Hemmingways Bar is very friendly, run by an English couple who were very helpful with lots of tips on things to do and places to go and great cocktails!!
The Jolley Roger Bar on the way to Boufos Beach has music 3 nights a weeks, also run by a very friendly English couple.
Neuromoulis Taverna, about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel is well worth a visit if you are looking for Greek cuisine, the food was fabulous, very reasonably priced and a lovely setting under orange trees. It is advisable to book though as it is very popular.

“ We found the hotel very clean and well placed in terms of Sissi centre. We did find the first room we were put in close to the pumps for the pool (noisey) so we asked to be moved which we did with no fuss and great help from the staff particularly on reception.
