A direct dial telephone, a safe deposit box (subject to a small fee), a bathroom with bathtub or shower, hairdryer, satellite/cable TV, fridge, individually-adjustable air conditioning, heating, and a balcony or terrace with a magnificent view looking out onto the colourful sea or the mountains all come as standard.The nearby beach is sandy and comes with sun loungers and parasols (both subject to fees). Guests may take advantage of the swimming pool and children's pool with sun loungers and parasols. Table tennis, pool/snooker (subject to fees) and an entertainment programme for children all feature.

“ This hotel was really good, we enjoyed the 10 minute walk into main Stalis. The hotel staff were really nice. Our room was big and spacious - although the bathroom was a little smaller. But still manageable. The hotel looked very picturesque situated within a hill, with great views over Stalis - although this did mean some steps to the room! (again manageable for people fit enough to walk!) The hotel was also very clean, tidy and staff on hand at all times to assist (even posting your postcards for you!)
“ Top Tip: We particularly liked a bar called 'amudi' which is situated off the main street opposite crete natural (gift shop). Mario- young greek guy's family owned this and very hospitable, a very relaxed, authentic bar! Also trip to Spinalonga with barbeque was worth every penny (with sparrow travel) - staff spoke several langauges (english, french, german and russian to name a few!)

we stayed at this hotel last year and it was so nice that we returned this year.
WHAT a dissapointment.
Were do i start?Apart from the receptionist the rest of the staff were very rude and didn`t care that we were even there.No snack bar, so if you were only half board no food at lunch time.The bar was a joke, only big bottles of wine, ouzo and vodka.They didn`t have any other drinks available NOTHING.All you got was PUMPED coke,water,lemon,orange.I did ask for a tonic and ice, you must be joking!!!
At breakfast a few days no cups for coffee,when asked "ill bring tomorrow".
The gents toilet only had paper towels for two out of the seven that we were there.
And our room on the second day we had to ask for toilet paper!!!
Talking to the hotel manager last year he told us of all the plans he had for the hotel
WHAT A DREAMER.And apparently the staff had not been payed for months and let us know this.If you are going to stay at this hotel FORGET IT,you might find no one there.
Will the last person to leave please turn off the lights.OPPS sorry theres another thing
the toilet lights!!!!

Hotel was lovely, very clean and had all facilities you need. However, the staff were extremely rude which ruined our stay at the Heliotrope hotel. We were made to feel unwelcome and everything seemed to much effort.The barman's attitude was particually discusting!! Would never stay here again due to this.
Also there was a long walk to beach and restaurants, fine for young people, but probably not suitable with people with walking difficulties.
“ Top Tip: Nemo bar on Stalis beach road. Lovely staff, fab cocktails and free crazy golf for customers! Fantastic!
