The Princess Hotel is a family run 3 star+ complex containing 40 bungalow style rooms on the beautiful Ionian island of Kefalonia. Here guests can enjoy all modern facilities in a welcoming environment. Enjoy the lovely view from your balcony, relax by the pool and get a refreshing drink from the pool bar. Our hotel is exceptionally well situated in Lassi, the closest tourist resort to Argostoli, capital of Kefalonia. It is near many restaurants, shops and above the famous and award winning "Makris Gialos" beach known to all for its turquoise, crystal clear waters and golden sand. The hotel provides its guests with a lovely swimming pool, restaurant-snack bar, cocktail bar, TV lounge with satellite TV, front desk service with foreign exchange facilities and free parking. Beach water sports as well as tennis courts are also available to guests and are located just across the road from the hotel. The rooms provide air-conditioning, TV, refrigerator, direct-dial telephone, music, private entrance, safety deposit boxes and a private balcony overlooking the hotels swimming pool and Ionian Sea beyond. The warm and friendly hospitality, the modern yet neoclassical brilliant white architecture of the building, pastel colours and lush greenery enable total relaxation and comfort for guests providing them with a most memorable holiday on this very special "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" island.

When we arrived at the hotel we were told that the hotel was overbooked. A fax had been sent through to them, stating this and that we were being moved to the Hotel Mediterranee. The staff at the Princess were very apologetic and made phone calls for us and offered us a drink, whilst we looked though the paperwork and waited for a taxi to take us to the Mediterranee.
Our only dealings with the Princess were positive, but of course, we cannot fill in the Questionaire.
The next morning at the Med, I had to make a phone call, which cost me money, as we had been put on bed and breakfast at the Med, not half board as we had at the Princess. I then had to send an e-mail, with my complaints. Not something you want to be doing on the first day, of what should have been a relaxing holiday.
None of this was either hotels fault.
