- Lack of information in the room around meal times, activities and check out time
- Friendly bar staff and excellent service
-The receptionist was rude and unhelpful at the hippocrates which is where i was placed by the hotel
“
Top Tip:
- The bus in to Kos Town was excellent value for money at 1.60 euro
- Kos town was really idilic and there were lots of lovely bars and restaurants
- A Boat trip to turkey was only 25 euros. I had a turkish bath and cigarettes were only 16 euro for 200 although that was the maximum allowance

“ We stayed at the Maris, the rooms were very spacious and clean. We had breakfast and lunch at the Maris restaurant, which was buffet style with a variety of dishes which were very well cooked. The beer, wine and soft drinks are on draught. The swimming pools were very clean and plenty of sun beds. We took our evening meals at the Panorama hotel restaurant, which had a stunning view of Turkey, the food and drink here was outstanding. The staff in all the hotels within the complex were very helpful and pleasant. We found the holiday exceptional value for money and would happily return.
“ Top Tip: For 1.60 Euro you can take the bus outside the hotel into Kos town (approx 10 min). The town itself is very beautiful especially the old part. The return journey you must buy the ticket at the bus terminal before getting on the bus for 1.50 Euro.

“ Lovely, well-presented, clean and modern hotel. Staff are friendly, hard-working and helpful. Rooms were smart and good standard. Nearby beach is shingle and tough underfoot so take/buy jelly shoes or the like! Lovely pools. When we visited late April, only the Hippocrates hotel was open. The food was really nice with a good selection of deserts. One hour stroll into Kos Town which is beautiful with plentiful restaurants and shops. Lots of culture such as the Roman House and Hippocrates' Tree. Lots to see on this lovely friendly island. You can go on a day trip to Bodrum from here - about 27 euros for the day. There is car, buggy and bike hire right outside the hotel. Would recommend as good value for money.
“ Top Tip: Footwear needed for pebble/shingle beach. Loved the clean and smart taxis which were all the same price for the same trips - no 'rip offs'.

This memo applies to a visit in Mid April 2012.
Reception lacked staff on checking in and out. In high season this could be an issue. However, the hotel may be prepared for this.
Rooms were very clean with good maid service and plenty of towels etc.
Alas no tea or coffee in room which is associated with 4* hotels.
Pool area pleasant and no pop music. This made a fantasic change.
Long may it last.
The pool bar again lacked staff and in high season I can see an issue.
Those on duty never stopped and were always very nice.
The beech is 'rough' sand and pebbles. OK for a few hours.
The restaurant was very good indeed. Plenty of variety. Service fantastic. Big choice from Greek food to fish and chips.
Good breafast, lunches and dinner. They made a great effort. Very international. Can say that we found it one of the best we have been in for a 'complex hotel'.
Pitty the WiFi was not working. They had a few computors available.
However, there is nothing of 'value' around to see except Kos Town. The town was worth a visit to see the old Roman parts etc.
In my view the shops were full of tacky gifts > the same in each shop!
Loads of eating places all offering the same food! The town itself very interesting and clean with very little rubbish around.
Overall, a very nice hotel 10 mins on a bus outside of Kos. Very good value and
great for a week. The staff try very hard to please you. Overall 8 out of 10
“ Top Tip: Kos is very Orthodox which means Easter is a week after Easter in the UK and 90% of the town is closed and tourists cannot spend any money!
